Arnold 12-Inch Plastic Wheel for Walk-Behind Mowers

Pleasantly surprised, well built, quality replacement rear wheel. Fit perfect, matches other wheels perfectly. Great that extra spacers come with the wheel. Very pleased and would buy again. Saved my 15yr. Old Yardman mower.

My ryobi push mower had 8" & 10" wheels - which cut my grass too low even at highest setting. Wheel height was good (moved 10" from back to front), and the wheel width was also good. The problem was the 1.5" width at the hub - compared to 1.25" of Ryobi wheels. I was able to solve with a power sander to sand down the inner portion of the plastic wheel by .25". With the "fins" on the inside, no concerns about integrity of the strength of the wheel. Modification worked great. With the larger back wheels, only half of the mow height settings can be used, but I only need the upper half anyway.

I wasn't sure if this would fit my mower. I have a Troy-Bilt model 11A-542Q711, purchased from Lowe's. It had 12" wheels that are slightly wider at 2 1/8", and it wasn't clear from description of this product if it would work. But it had the correct axle diameter (1/2") and it was way cheaper so I figured I'd give it a try. I can confirm that it does fit my Tory-Bilt. The part number for the wheel that came with my mower is 734-04127, and the replacement part number (I guess they don't make the original one anymore) is 734-04019. I ended up using this Arnold replacement with the largest spacer provided. For those of you who aren't sure if it'll fit your mower, let me share some dimensions. The axle hole on the Arnold wheel fit's a 1/2" diameter axle, as described. The axle hole is about 1 3/4" (I measured 1 11/16", but I assume this is 1 3/4" with a little wiggle room so as to not bind the wheel when the nut is fully tightened). The axle hole is offset such that the inside edge of the axle shaft sticks out about 3/8" beyond the edge of the wheel (see picture). On the outside, the axle hole is recessed. To adapt to the length of the axle on your mower and prevent the wheel from sliding in and out along the axle, they provide three different spacers that are roughly 3/4", 5/8", and 3/8". I think this allows you to fit axles that are 2 1/2", 2 3/8", 2 1/8" long (again, measured up to the start of the threads). The actual lengths of the spacers are a little less than the dimensions I listed, so that there is some play when you fully tighten the axle nut. The spacers are plastic, so it'd be pretty easy to cut one down if none of these are the right length for you. They also include a 1/2 x 1" washer, which I didn't use but which might be handy. Generally speaking, this doesn't seem to be as sturdy as the original wheel, but time will tell how it holds up. The old one lasted about 8 years before it broke unexpectedly.

I have a Craftsman push mower, model #917.376162, these installed with no shims needed. I had already ordered and returned SEHOI 3 Pack 12 x 1.75 Inch Push Mower Wheels because the hub was too long and the axles on the mower were pressed in so I could not just remove and replace the axles. 9/16" deep socket and about 10 minutes work and mowing again. This is the original lawn mower wheel part #193906X460. The manufacturer no longer makes this part, and there's no substitute part. This is a very nice 3rd party replacement.

reasonable price. wheel broke on my old lawnmower. found a replacement on amazon. bought it and it fit perfectly. old lawnmower is new again. Yeah!

I have a 10 year old craftsman lawn mower. The rear wheels were shot. These work and for great. 5 min job to replace.

Order these to replace a wheel that broke and the other was cracked and heading that way. Fit great with no adapter needed. The wheel included 3 adapters for various applications but was not needed for my Craftsman 917.376742 model mower. Remove nut with 9/16 socket, old wheel off, new wheel on and tighten nut. Took longer to write this review than it did to change both wheels.

Easy to install and came with spacers which I did not need. I'm hoping these wheels lat longer than the originals. I wore through the original tires, then spent $90 for OEM replacements when Sears was still around, those broke after a few seasons, then I purchased flimsy wheels from Princess Auto and they worked ok for a few seasons until one wheel broke last week. So here I am on my 4th set of rear wheels and have also replaced the front wheels once. After this set of wheels it will be a new lawnmower. Here's hoping these last at least a few seasons!

I guess we can strike this up to supply and demand! Incredibly pricey for what it is, but hard to find any alternative items that can be used to fit our mower. Installation was easy and wheels do their job. Time will tell about the durability, but they seem to be of good quality and solid enough.
