If you're at all familiar with the D-Arts/Figuarts line, then you should know that these figurines are almost entirely for display purposes. I suppose you could play with them a bit, but good luck having them look as good for long, especially for this guy! Speaking of looking good, visually this figure couldn't look better. The metallic paint job is INCREDIBLE! It's so good, you can see yourself in the reflection. (This makes taking pictures a bit funny.) For each cast, there's minor variances in the finish of the paint, but mine came out practically flawless. As for articulation, D-Arts does not fall short. X features multiple ball joints in the shoulder, neck, and feet, as well as swivels and hinges in all the right places! Any pose you'd be able to think of, you can do with this figure. The added accessories like the faces and blast effects swap out easily, just note to be careful removing the front face cover when swapping faces. The face cover seems just a bit fragile, like too much force could break it. This is the ONLY reason i'm giving this figure a 4 out of 5 on durability. Other than that, D-Arts makes their figure with "breakaway" joints in certain areas. This means that when enough force is applied to a specific part, it may just 'pop' off. This keeps these figures from breaking, and can be really useful considering that every figure's parts in this series can be swapped out!!Another thing is that the effect parts that plug into his blaster can make him....a bit front heavy. Bandai got around this problem by making some of the BEST stands you can purchase for your figures. For the D-Arts Megaman X line of figures, I would recommend theΒ  Bandai Tamashii Stage Act.5 for Mechanics Clear . It fits these figures very well, and adds much more versatility to posing.In short: If you know what you're doing with action figures, pick this little guy up first in your D-Arts collection. It may be a bit pricey, but with limited reproduction, immaculate articulation, loads of accessories, and an INCREDIBLE paint-job to boot, you should grab this figure before it becomes MORE expensive, and MUCH harder to find. Seriously, you won't find one. Watch. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Blue Bomber at his plastic finest! *by P***P on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on November 6, 2012* For comparison of how much of an improvement this is over older Megaman X figures, I have had the old model-kit "Hyper Max (golden) armor" version of Megaman X from X3, and it's pretty cool.The SDCC D-Arts Megaman X is just 100 levels MORE awesome than little HyperMax X.SDCC Megaman X is 5" while HyperMax X is 4", but that single inch is a MASSIVE difference in overall size.This figure is pretty damn amazing where articulation is concerned. X is genuinely capable of doing all manner of dynamic poses and replicating badass boxart with ease.Somehow they invented a system of joints that allow those crazy huge chunk boots and arms of his to actually function in real life like the do in the games and the art!I'm also very impressed by the little crystals in his forehead, his "ears", and in the barrel of his X-Buster. They are massive boon toward helping pull off the translation from anime badass to physical object.The blast effects are fantastic too!The charged shot is pretty huge.The regular shots are especially great! They make me grin, partially because of Egoraptor's Sequelitis video [...], but also because they're genuinely good looking as X's rapid-firing shots."Yea! Yea, lemons!"Alternate faces are really simple to swap out. Just pop off the front half of the helmet, popout the face, pop in a face, pop the helmet front back on. I've always been a huge fan of the Mega Man series, and perhaps the X series even more than Classic. That all been said, I saw these D-Art figures online and heard nothing but high-praise and accolades for their meticulous attention to detail, their stupendous articulation, their interchangeability of parts, and their overall faithfulness to the characters they're modeled after. After purchasing this 2011 SDCC limited addition metallic blue X, I have to agree. It's rather amazing how they were able to stuff so much detail in a figure that only measures less than half a foot! The metallic sheen is quite striking too. I don't know if it will fade over time, but it's amazing out of the box. It seems very durable, *but* it should be noted this is a collector's item, *and* it is meant as a fully articulated figure for display, not a child's toy. For that purpose, it works very, very well, despite only being five inches tall. It's quite an eye-catching display. Also included are numerous extra pieces such as differently posed hands, extra arm pieces, different face-plates with differing expressions, and cool canon shot effects. I don't know how many of these are available or were made, but if it truly is a limited edition figure, it's a great purchase to make!
