I was kinda lury about buying this for one specific reason. I know it says 2 Guage wire but I've bought things before that said heavy wire 2 Guage and it wasn't over 4 Guage if that big. This is a true 2 Guage wire and I'm sure it will handle a load jumping a car easily. Another thing is they have strong clamps with excellent jaws to not slip off the battery post. This is a excellent pair of 2 Guage 20' jumper cables. After I saw a review on here with a picture that it melted the insulation off the wire and clamps I was having 2nd thoughts about buying these but I'm glad I got them. Only way they could have melted them was to be hooked up wrong and that will do it and possibly damage both batteries.
