I am a senior and have some feet issues. Especially toes. I tried the barefoot shoes and immediately noticed the extra room for my toes in the toe box of the shoe. Able to slide adapter on shoe to tighten. I am able to slide foot into shoe without disturbing other parts of shoe and then slide adapter to tighten i needed to replace a few of the. Pieces. I bought these at lightning deal and they're great! I had a hard time lacing one shoe because the plastic part of the end broke in the middle, so there was no support to push through the hole. The broken bit was also getting caught and wouldn't go through. Had to use a pair of tweezers and 2nd pair of hands to finally lace it. The good thing is that part gets cut off anyway. The laces are perfect - they are springier than ones I've had before.

I decided to give these a try and I love them. Tips for putting them in your shoes. There are great videos on how to do it but I recommend one change. Instead of putting the shoe on then lacing, I recommend lacing the shoe and putting the lock on before putting the shoe on. Leave the lock near the lace ends then put the shoe on. Now tighten as you would have with regular laces. When you have them as snug as you want, slide the lock down in place and finish as shown in the video. I tried lacing with my shoe on and I was having trouble, but I found that doing it the old-fashioned way of lacing then putting the shoe on works just as well. But you have a little more control and flexibility. There are two ways to start the lacing. with the lace on top and poking down or under and poking up. I did the poking up start. I wish I had done the poking down because the lace across the top of the shoe and poking down is the perfect place to poke the clip to keep the end from flopping about. I do recommend these. I recommend the videos for instructions, but lace the shoe the first time before putting it on.

Absolutely love these laces, have them on hiking boots to get in and out them quickly while also still being able to have them snuggly secured on my feet. There isn't much instructions on how to use them but I laced them up and locked them at a tension I felt would be comfortable walking all day in with the lock and then trimmed off the excess lace with scissors and lightly put a lighter to the ends of the frayed laces before clamping the laces together with the end cap. You can open the end cap by pushing down on the tab if you need to feed more excess through later but be careful once you cut the length because you can't undo that. I already can't wait to get a few more pairs of laces for my other shoes and to have spares as well!

These laces are awesome. They fit well and removed all the pressure on the top of my feet. I now use them with all my hiking and laced foot wear.
