I switched from Folgers Black Silk. I'm not sure this is the same as McDonald's restaurant coffee....Maybe, maybe not... But the other reviewers are right in that it is smooth. The flavor is not quite as bold (strong) as the Folgers. I normally take milk and sugar in my coffee but I drink this McCafe Premium Roast Medium black....Happily. Edited update: I don't believe this is the same as the McDonald's restaurant brand. I would still recommend this as a good coffee but I have gone back to the Folgers.
