I was pleased to find out that the strap worked well with the EZON heat rate monitor. EZON does not offer a replacement strap that I could find.

Fits well, comfortable
I had an older model Garmin heart rate monitor I wanted to start using again but the elastic was dead. I ordered this replacement and the strap fit perfectly. It's comfortable to wear and holds my heart rate monitor in place.

WORKED GREAT AS REPLACEMENT FOR MY OCTANE FITNESS Q45 WIRELESS HEART MONITOR
Loved that I just needed this new strap (and a new battery) to be able to use the wireless heart monitor that came with the Octane Fitness Q45 Elliptical that I had not used in 10 years. Though a different brand than my Octane Fitness monitor, this Garmin strap fit very well. Also, the elastic, while not quite as tightly woven as I might have preferred, should provide at least a few years of service which, given the higher cost of purchasing a whole new monitor, is well worth the $!5 investment.

Why wasn't my HRM strap staying put?
After 4 years of using my garmin 305, my HRM strap just wouldn't stay put. It would move often and within a few minutes, always ended up on my abdomen. I looked at the strap and it was as curly as bacon, and not as tasty. There was no elasticity left! I ordered a new strap and my HRM was back in business. It was very easy to put the new strap on and comparing the new strap to the old, it was obvious that I needed a replacement. And kudos to garmin for keeping the expensive HRM separate from the elastic strap, making it relatively inexpensive to replace the strap. My only dissapointment with the product is that it does indeed wear out and need to be replaced. I learned that I got a bit more time out of my strap than most, but it would be nice to have a superior product which lasts longer.

Better and more reliable than their 'Soft Strap' (P/N: HRM2-SS)
This Heart Rate Monitor is great and much more reliable than Garmin's newer 'Soft Strap' (P/N: HRM2-SS). I have had nothing but trouble with the 'Soft Strap': readings erratically ramping up, then dropping way down, the cutting in and out, etc. But, this heart rate monitor is more durable and consistent. Additionally, the battery is much easier to change out, as with the 'Soft Strap' you have to remove 4 small screws to do so: you have to have a very small Phillips head screw driver, and if you're not careful you could easily lose one of the tiny screws. I just don't understand why Garmin had to change to this type of battery compartment, as it is a step backwards in design.

The Heart Strap That Could
On a beautiful sunny morning, in a time long, long, ago. There lived an angry giant that enjoyed running. As the surly giant prepared for his run, he noticed that the heart rate monitor strap of his Garmin 305 was not as elastic as it once was. As he ran, the giant couldn't believe that his HRM strap was falling down his chest and this angered him greatly. Feeling eXtremely unhappy, the giant searched the land of the Internet to find a replacement. And he did find one, and it was from the kingdom of Amazon. It was also cheaper in price than the one offered by the evil Garmin. When the giant placed the new HRM strap into his HRM he saw that the strap was perfect, and this was good. Suddenly all of the giants runs were less complicated and this made the giant a Happy Giant. THE END
