It isn’t playing any tricks to inflate its perceived capacity Speeds were a little disappointing. Fresh out of the box, on my Mac, using a known good CFast card reader, I was seeing: - A read speed of 379.30 MB/s - A write speed of 250.20 MB/s While these speeds were significantly lower than the advertised read/write speeds of 540MB/s and 520MB/s respectively, they were surprisingly consistent. I.e. while writing data to fill the entire drive, and reading it back, I saw virtually no change in speeds; I normally expect flash media to slow down as it fills up. The speeds were baffling me a bit, so I repeated the test after reformatting the card several times. The speeds were unchanged by format, or by the device I was using (I tried with a Mac, a Windows PC, and a Linux machine).
