Knopf Down by the Bay

I remember this book from when I was a new teacher in 1997. The kids loved this book when sung outloud. So I liked that it had the notes to the tune on the last page. At the time, I was working with 1st and 2nd graders. However, this could be read independently for grades up to 3 at least as it has compound words and multi-syllable words (such as watermelons, polka-dot tail, combing, llamas, pajamas" as well as one-syllable words that might be tough (i.e., blouse, rhyme). Cute illustrations.

Classic Children’s song now illustrated !!!
