Oem trailer lighting plug needs to be activated by bar code on oem hitch. does this have bar code or a work around?

Will it fit 2019 jeep grand cherokee altitude?

I put this on my 2020 Grand Cherokee Limited X 2 years ago. I also have a 2019 Limited X and the physical connections where you would attach the are the same. I think the Altitude might have different bumper outside, but the underside of the bumper is this hitch. So I would say yes it will fit.
