Is it better to start with the steel rather than silicone?

Guess that depends on one's preference. I did start with these but found there is no graduation from one rod to the next. For example one rod goes from 7 to 8, but the next rod goes from 9 to 10, I was looking for the graduation from 8 to 9, so then I ordered and experimented with "Utimi Urethral Sounds 4 Pcs Set Silicone Plug Beads Urethral with Different Size" and "Cob Urethral Sounds Silicone Plug Multi Beads Urethral for Beginner 4 PCS Set" also found here on Amazon.
