I am not sure I would call this a box spring (since there are no springs) but it serves the same purpose of raising the mattress up higher. I was pleasantly surprised by the easy of assembly and sturdiess once it was built. The fabric covered wood planks that roll out to form the top were the most difficult part. I feel like they were not sized 100% right (seemed a couple inches short). They velcro down to the edges of the box frame but it didn't seem they really stuck securly. It was good enough though that once the mattress is on top, they are not going anywhere. Overall, the mattress did not have any sag or give on top of the box foundation so it seems to work well. Very firm and suits us to a T! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple assembly *by S***6 on January 17, 2022* This box foundation was a bit more expensive than the others, but based on reviews I decided to give it a try. The FedEx delivery guy apparently was a bit of a sadist (or perhaps he was testing my improvisation skills?) as he left the box at the garage instead of the front door though that was no fault of the Tuft and Needle folks. It was a bit challenging to move a super tall and heavy box to the front door where I could get it in the house. Once inside, furniture sliders are a great aid in getting the box to where you need it. It was super irmpressive how very easy it was to assemble this foundation! These folks have got it down when it comes to engineering. I think it took like 10 minutes to put it together, and that includes taking it out of the box. I like the wood slats it has for extra support. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is that the mattress has a tendency to slide around on top of the foundation. Perhaps a different fabric material would help with this.
