I first put one on my Trek hybrid and was very pleased, so much that I bought a second one for my road bike. Being a truck driver I tend to place a lot of importance on mirrors. The quality of the glass, lack of distortion, and steadiness are very important to me. This mirror offers all of that, and better than any other I've tried. On the straight handbars it is located great, and sits out from the end of the bar grip enough that my hands don't interfere. I didn't think I''d like it on the road bike because of the location the mirror would end up in. I see many road bikes with the smaller streamlined mirrors, so I bought one of those but didn't like how small the mirror was. It made it difficult to really see what was coming up behind you, how close it actually was, and how fast it was coming. So I bought a second mirror that was round and bigger, and set out to the side of the handlebar end, only to have that one get in the way of my hands when down in the drop portion of the bar. Out of desperation I took this mirror off my hybrid because I needed something for a ride that day, and it works great. When I'm grabbing the end of the bar in the drops my forearm may block the mirror just a bit, but if I'm keeping my elbows in tight it's ok. Nice size allows me to see what is coming and how fast, how far behind me it is. Remains stable for a good clear view. Easy to mount, comes with 2 sizes of rubber knurled inserts. You choose which size best fits the inside of your bar end, tighten it up a little before inserting so that it slides in fully but offers a little resistance, and once pushed all the way in just rotate it by hand to tighten completely. You do need to make sure you tighten it completely, or it will shake around when you are on bumpy roads and possibly fall out. I noticed several negative reviews that mention vibration and falling out. It needs to be tightened completely or that will happen. Indeed, it's like having a third eye looking at what's coming up behind you! Spies beware cuz we have your weakness! I've had this mirror for about 2 years now and it has saved my life many times. Measuring at only 3" in diameter might seem small but, gladly, the mirror is slightly convex making the field of view pretty wide. Our roads are worst than Minecraft with parallax mapping! Fuzzy reflection from road vibration, you ask? I've installed this mirror on 2 bikes now, a Voodoo Rada Racing geometry from the year 2000 and a 20" Dahon Mariner from 2003, and I haven't found this to be a problem. And mind you, we don't have the best roads here in P.R. It costs 1 cent to adjust the mirror. The installation is straight forward. Just twist it inside the bar-end of your handlebars. You can adjust the mirror to your liking by twisting it inside the bar-end for up and down and moving it back and forth on it's axis screw for left and right. Now, talking about this screw, this is the only complain I have with this mirror. The metal used to make the screw is very soft and using a flat head screwdriver to tighten it will definitely ruin it. A penny works great. The instructions on the packaging recommend a screw washer. This mirror won't tell us our deepest, most desperate desires of our hearts but... All in all this is a must have bike accessory. I would even dare to say it should be made obligatory to have one. Just keep in mind that a mirror is a mirror and it can break if you let your bike fall on it like mine did. No acrylic here! And as a warning note. Remember to look ahead! I had this type mirror on my bike and liked it so I replaced her broken mirror with this one. It is a real glass mirror with only a very modest curvature or possibly none at all... in any event, its gives a clear view of what is behind you. It mounts easily and does not vibrate when the bike is in motion.
