Great, good value Smart TV
This TV is a really good value on a high quality LED 4K UHD smart TV. The TV is very thin and lightweight. The image is crystal clear with amazing color. It uses Fire TV software and has multiple apps to easily stream all the programs you can possibly want. One no longer needs to use cable and be stuck on increasingly costing programming with a time contract. The TV has easily programmable wireless WiFi and has multiple ports for USB, HDMI, or external speakers. Setting up your apps is extremely easy. I am really happy with this product.

Best Deal At This Price Point
Worth the price. Picture is excellent. Sound is sufficient. Go to settings ... go to display and sounds ... go to sound settings and you can adjust the bass and treble. I set the bass at maximum (25) and the treble at 15 and the sound improves very much. I also use blue tooth headsets and speakers sometimes which are easy to connect. Amazon TVs are easy to set up and have many features. If you are replacing an Amazon TV with this one, it offers to download your apps and restore settings from your old set to this new TV during the set-up process. I did a lot of shopping around including Walmart and Ebay. Amazon had the best deal for a good 50 inch smart TV. The only problem was locating where the jack is on the TV for the power cord. There is a little open space on the back and it plugs in at the top of the space. I could not locate it in the instruction manual. Fast and free shipping. It has two legs to stand on and also may be wall mounted. I am very happy.

Great Smart Fire TV
Great price on a new model Fire TV. I have purchased Insignia before and the picture quality is superb. It is a good, reliable product. I purchased this one for our guest bedroom so family and guests can enjoy good quality viewing in private.

Don't! Just Don't!
Should be Zero stars! What a nightmare! I bought this tv in August of 2025 and it has less than 50 hours of use on it and the tv fails to stay connected to hdmi devices. Sometimes it sees them and sometimes it doesn't. When it does see them it, the connection often drops out and you have to unplug the tv for 5 minutes and all the devices and if you are lucky it will see them when it reboots. But then it often loses connection again. I did a little research online and this is a common problem and an indication of a failing motherboard. But that's not the worst of it, Customer Care is anything but caring. I filed a claim but they needed to escalate the service technician ticket because I was out in the country (seems crazy to send a service person our on a $179 item but they insisted). So I wait, and wait, and wait; a week goes by and no call or email from Insignia. So this morning I call again and they say they will call back even though I had the escalation # there's no one for me to talk to that can help. I get a call back and after another 20 minutes on the phone, I am told that I should get an email. When I explain that no one has contacted me for a week even thought the first person I talked to escalated the situation and gave me an escalation number; I am told you will get an email. I get the email a few hours later and it requests pictures of the tv and the serial number even though they already had the serial number and the order number from Amazon and imply that the pictures need to show the tv in good condition to verify it is under warranty even though the tv is only 7 months old, well within the year warranty. So I send the information they requested along with a detailed description of the problem I'm having with the tv. A couple hours later a different person left a message on my phone requesting something but the message was unintelligible and they did not leave a call back number. So I call the number of the missed call and got a different guy who argued with me for 30 minutes saying that he couldn't help me because I needed to contact Insignia and he's from Best Buy. When I explain that I did call Insignia and read him the email with a signature line from insignia and told him the message said they read my response to the email; he said he couldn't help me and couldn't get me a supervisor and told me to call insignia. When he gave me the number to call, I explained that my call log says I called that number on March 31st and this morning and that is how I got to him. He reviewed the notes and saw that was true and offered to have a supervisor call me back. So I call insignia and get someone new who wants to read me the script all over again and grill me on what's wrong with my tv and can't get a supervisor or get me to the escalation department but offers to have someone call me back. Situation is still not resolved! 4/8/26 The gift that keeps on giving. Today they called back to offer a full refund but only in the form of a physical gift card to "Best Buy". The nearest store is 150 miles away, nowhere in the page that lists the item for sale is from Best Buy, it is and AMAZON Insignia tv that is sold on AMAZON through the Insignia Store, nowhere is Best Buy ever mentioned. Amazon won't support you because it's a 3rd party seller Insignia and when you call Insignia they send you to Best Buy without telling you they are sending you to Best Buy, when I talked to Best Buy they tell you to deal with Insignia. I feel like someone had a huge batch of defective tvs to unload and this is how the actuaries decided was most profitable to deal with the problem--Sell them--hope some work, hope some people won't bother to return or file a claim, and make it so difficult to resolve that people give up and eat the loss and move on, and if all that fails offer them a gift card to a store they can't use--diabolical! Why wasn't the balance just refunded to my Amazon Account? Why won't they give me a gift card to Amazon where I bought the product? When I asked these questions she had no answer and offered to get a supervisor. Icing on the cake=after 30 minutes on the phone again today waiting for a supervisor the call was dropped and she promised to call right back if that happened and didn't. Customer Service nightmare!

Good tv with one problem
This tv is priced well, large, easy to mount, the display is very nice, bright and adjustable, clear sharp image, good refresh rate, basically no latency in the display, tons of connectivity and cool things it can do, overall I really like this tv there's just a couple small problems and one massive one, first small problem is its a bit slow with the remote, im not sure if its software or a connectivity issue but sometimes you press a button and it'll be several seconds before it reacts and occasionally will think youre holding the button down in this time, usually fixed by turning off and back on, no big deal, second small issue is some options just dont work, like you cant give feedback, the option is there it just wont select for whatever reason, and the final massive issue is you cant adjust the screen time out in anyway what so ever, it takes 20 minutes for the tv to turn off PERIOD, you cant adjust this through screen saver options, sleep timer settings or even third party apps, it seems Amazon has some sort of grudge against these tvs and for some reason sees keeping the tv ready for you when you get back from the bathroom as an unforgivable sin, ive heard talk about using an external device to code the thing and get rid of the sleep timer alltogether but I dont know how to do that, I dont feel comfortable doing that, and I dont want to buy a whole separate coding device just to keep my tv from turning itself off after 20 minutes, at the very least you can set it so when you turn it back on it picks up where you left off instead of having to go through the home menu and wait for it to load each screen separately, personally im happy with this tv but I cant reasonably recommend it for lacking a simple, essential, and crucial feature like adjusting the screen time

This is a steal for $170...
Ordered 4/1/2026, received 4/2/2026 to replace a 10-year-old TCL 50-inch. $183 with tax. TV was well packed with simple instructions. Setup was easy once I swapped the swivel stand from the old TV to the new one. CoPilot guided me on how to configure it so that it goes straight to my Roku Ultra when I turn it on, bypassing all of that Amazon Fire nonsense. The sound and picture are a HUGE improvement over the old TV. Certainly not Mini-LED quality, but a steal for $183. I will update my review after a few months of use.

Excellent TV! Excellent bang for the buck!👍
I seldom review items outside of the Amazon Vine program, but I was so impressed with this TV and the deal I got, I just HAD to. I got it on sale. A $300.00 50" TV for $169.00! Pretty hard to complain! It's not difficult to find a new TV for that price... but not at this size and of this quality. THE GOOD: It provides a crisp, beautiful, crystal clear picture that you would expect to see on a much more expensive unit. Menus are easily navigated, and controls are easy to use. The "OS" (for lack of a better term) is attractive and easy to use. Their audio leveling works better than on any other TV I've used (whispers can be heard, and explosions don't rattle your teeth). I've still never seen a flat screen TV at ANY price point with decent sounding onboard speakers, but these are among the best I personally have experienced (if you care about good sound quality, you'll still probably want to use your own external audio). I'm using the feet that were included, instead of a wall mount. They were easy to install, and much more stable than the ones on my last 2 TVs. THE BAD: It is my opinion that it could use a little more processing power. It takes an unusually long time to move between menus and screens, change channels, load movies, etc. (not that big of a deal, but it's a fact). As mentioned... menus are clear and easily navigated... but I can't find bluetooth controls anywhere. In fact... I can't find anything anywhere that indicates that this TV even HAS bluetooth. I've been looking for it since I saw it mentioned in other reviews, but can't find it (it's hard to imagine that it DOESN'T in this day & age). It seems like all TVs have some kind of proprietary sound enhancing software onboard. This one has "DTS Virtual-X Sound: An immersive sound format creates a three-dimensional sound experience with your TV’s speakers". As is always the case... they're WAY overselling it. As with most flat screen TVs... the onboard speakers are little more than "adequate", and completely incapable of sounding "immersive", regardless of whatever technology you shove into them. Something I personally loathe about new TVs, is where they place the inputs, and how they label them. They're always situated where they're easy to see and read from the BACK of the TV. The problem is... the back of the TV is a few inches off the wall, and moving it around is a hassle. TV manufacturers need to put the inputs near the edges of the TV so they're easy to find & reach, and labeled perpendicular to the TV, so they're legible while peering around from the front (BTW... it is my opinion that ALL TVs, regardless of size or price, should have a regular headphone output jack. They're ridiculously inexpensive for the manufacturer, and open up a lot of audio options when others fail). Regarding the remote... the trend these days seems to be smaller and smaller remotes with curved backs and slippery surfaces, making them difficult to hold on to, and impossible to operate with the remote sitting anywhere but in your hand. This one's no exception. Finally... in the instructions and on the back of the unit, they were careful to label everything so it was easy to locate, set up, and use. I don't know if it was supposed to be a joke or what... but they hid the point on the back of the TV where you plug the in the power cord, and they left it unlabeled on the back of the TV AND in the paperwork. I felt and looked all around the edges & the back. It took me a solid 10 minutes of looking before I found it. They did a weird "cut in" in a weird location on the back. The cut-in was easy to see, but the fact that it was functional was not. The power cord plugs in vertically, so the socket is hidden. If they'd label it, as they label the HDMI inputs etc., there would be no question at all. Also... the cut-in is too small, so the plug is difficult to insert. It's equally difficult to tell when it's completely inserted. You really have to kinda jam the cord in there, and there's a fair amount of pressure on the plug at all times. If/when the TV quits working, I'd wager right now, that THAT will be the reason. Horrible design flaw that should be easy for the manufacturer to fix. The "goods" definitely outweigh the "bads", and I strongly recommend this TV to anyone shopping for one!👍

This TV is Amazing
This TV is awesome. If you are on the fence, don't even think twice about it, Just buy it. Great picture, great sound. I was staying in a hotel and I thought it would be a pain in the A$$ to connect (I have had issues with connecting other devices here at the hotel) because the hotel's wifi has a portal that you have to enter your name, email, and room number. This TV had a function that read aloud some numbers (to keep hackers or robots from connecting) and all you have to do is enter the numbers into the on screen number keypad and BOOM..,you're connected. Pure Genius. If you just have regular wifi that you have to enter just a password, then connecting will be even easier. I have Prime Video and Netflix accounts, so that was convenient because it even has 2 buttons on the remote that are specifically for those 2 apps. Love it. Plus you can download many other apps.. PLUS.....it has so many live channels like SLING, PLUTO, a 24 hour 60 Minutes channel, and many, many more. With this TV you won't even need cable/satellite anymore. You can press a button on the remote and give it commands like...."show me true crime shows on Netflix"...and BOOM it shows you tons of true crime shows and movies. So convenient. It has tons of ways to connect other devices, hdmi ports etc. I haven't found any negatives regarding this TV yet. Also, great for watching sports, crisp clean picture. Looking forward to watching the Super Bowl on this TV. I bought this on Amazon who connected me to Best Buy, the TV was ready for pickup within 2 hours (I didn't want to wait another day for delivery) I parked out front, the Best Buy employee loaded it into my vehicle, I took it back to the hotel and I was connected to the hotel's wifi within 5 minutes. You can also hookup like 8 different Bluetooth devices. You can hookup a bluetooth mouse and keyboard and use the TV as a huge computer screen. I hookup my earbuds to it all the time. Technology is truly amazing.
