Review: Excellent quality and very generous size - After trying different grip pads, Mohawk is the only one I will buy again. Not only is the pad as thick as described, it is two sided - the rubber side can go down on my hard marble floor - or if layering carpet (which I have not), the soft side can go down. Previous experience with Mohawk has shown me that it does not damage hardwood floors and certainly prevents carpets (and people) sliding. I have had no problems with vile smells or plastic residue left on floors. After trying different grip pads, Mohawk is the only one I will buy again. Not only is the pad as thick as described, it is two sided - the rubber side can go down on my hard marble floor - or if layering carpet (which I have not), the soft side can go down. The pad is larger than described but is easy to mark (no wriggling) and cuts like a dream. Previous experience with Mohawk has shown me that it does not damage hardwood floors and certainly prevents carpets (and people) sliding. I have had no problems with vile smells or plastic residue left on floors. Extra hint - if you are laying down two or more smaller carpets you might find it more cost efficient to do the math and get one bigger carpet to cut down.
