Great phone with useful features
Firstly I am writing this as a user who is fast approaching the age of 70, that means anyone younger should have no problems setting this up as I certainly didn't. My phone line is supplied by Sky and the BT service of call screening worked perfectly. I do have caller display included in my Sky package and you will need this no matter which company services your land line. The numbers from my mobile phone transferred via bluetooth to both handsets without any hitches (very useful when you have a heap of contacts). The buttons on the handset are self explanatory and the instructions on the colour display are easy to follow. The answerphone is clear and can be remotely accessed when you are away from the house. OK so the ringtones are a little unimaginative but that's really no big deal. Overall I cannot find any significant downsides to my purchase. Hope this review helps

Worth every penny!
Fabulous phone! Easy to use, looks very stylish, and the safety feature of announcing the caller prior to you answering the call is second to non. In my previous home I was inundated with cold callers, so far Iโve not had one since getting the phone a year ago! Absolutely worth every penny!

Worth the effort
I am of the age when you just want a phone. A telephone, on which you make phone calls. But if they still exist, I cannot find one. So, when buying dect phones I want something simple to understand and use, good quality, long lasting and enough handsets to serve my house (not the Whitehouse). Well you can't have everything, but this BT set is pretty close to perfect. The design and appearance is superb, and although white may show the dust, they're easier to spot than the ubiquitous black/grey. Build quality is excellent, well made and really robust. Functionality; well they did take some 'study time' to get grips with all the functions, but it was worth it in the end; call screening and barring, answer phone, call back etc. Everything you could reasonably wish for in your home, and for many of us our place of work. On a Covid related issue; the phones also offer an intercom facility, so if you're shielding you can talk to someone in another room, whether family member or the bloke fixing the washing machine. Big win for biosecurity! I recommend this set of phones, even to my fellow 50+ BTG.

Try 'before' you buy. Get 1100 mAh Batt's to replace originals.
This is a phone with many useful functions. It is primarily a phone and should, be employed as such. The earpiece volume, even on max, sometimes struggles to compete with relatively low background noise, kettles, washing machine, dishwasher etc. Even in an adjacent room. There are times when having to use the hands free speakerphone to overcome this shortcoming is embarrassing. The microphone is not that sensitive and people have asked me to speak up if it's not right by my mouth, ie tucked on my shoulder to use both hands, never an issue with my mobile or my old Gigaset though??? They are very light and I've had them slip through my fingers a few times already, please note 'ergonomics team', if you've got one. The lightness also affects the stability when on the charging stand, the cup shape is that shallow it's best to take care when putting it on charge or it'll fall forwards off the stand. I'm not ham fisted, this is the first cordless that has been this difficult to literally 'get to grips' with. I might consider applying some spray on rubberised paint to the palm and fingers area in the hope of improving the grip. Instructions say to charge batteries for 16 hours before use, did 24 hours to be sure. Next day looked at the screen 5 minutes into a call, down to 3 of 4 bars on battery indicator out of 4. Batt's are 650 mAh AAA X2 Now using 1100 mAh AAA, no problems after 1/2 hour on phone now still 4 bars! Haven't had the time to put all the advanced functions like Bluetooth through their paces yet. Unfortunately the purpose for which these two BT phones were purchased was as 'Phones' not wizzy IT, Techie gadgets. Given the premium price and BT branding, I expected better. BTW what's with the tiny one colour screen? Even my niece (20/20 teenagers vision) commented it was small and 'could be clearer', outside it's totally useless unless it's a cloudy overcast day. C'mon BT this needs to be better physical quality and usability to justify the premium price. Noting the many other comments made by other reviewers/purchasers, many commented on the noisiness crackling hissing when the base unit is anywhere in the vicinity of other pieces of electrical equipment. There are so many pieces of electrical equipment in our homes capable of interfering with a handsfree base unit, this I've discovered first hand now, the solution is to purchase some 3 and 5mm clip-on ferrites these can be attached to both the power cable and the phone line cables and at both ends, this has been totally effective in removing all of the hissing and crackling I was experiencing periodically. Admittedly this is an issue that should have been dealt with by the manufacturer but an easy and cheap fix. If you have a wireless router nearby powered by one of the little plugs with a built-in power supply clip a ferrite on each end of its power cable too. Most of these little PSUs are switch-mode now and, depending on the internal operating frequency, leak interference through the cable and sometimes back into the mains too, which will degrade the performance of other mains equipment plugged in and not protected. If you have a few of these little devils plugged into a power bar which has a cable to a single plug then measure the thickness of the cable and add a ferrite to the cable where it comes out of the multi-plug power bar, helps stop the interference from getting back to other nearby equipment. Naughty? Very, but there it is, now you know how to deal with some of it.

No nuisnace calls
The call blocking facility is great. We have not had any nuisance calls since getting this โphone.

Fails to hang up after intercepting a call, indefinitely holding the line open.
We thought this was fantastic. No nuisance calls for weeks. Then we realised we'd had no landline calls a couple of months. We've subsequently discovered that friends and family have tried calling and we're always engaged. A bit of fault finding reveals that the system intercepts the first call, answers silently and then does not disconnect. We couldn't make outgoing calls either without unplugging and reconnecting the phone line. It worked well initially but finding this fault and knowing a replacement might do the same, without it being apparent, means we can't take the chance. Disappointed... but at least Amazon sorts it out with no fuss.

So many new features!
I had to replace my worn out home phones and choose these. They copied my whole address book from my mobile in a jiffy - so many new fab features compared to my old ones! Easy set up, looks amazing. Blutooth enabled, these will have all the features you need. I recommend highly.

Satisfied User
Handset and screen very narrow. When dialling the numbers are very large and the number being dialled is split on multiple lines, which may be an advantage to some users. When on hold the phone seems to go to sleep and when asked to press an option you have to press twice, once to wake the phone and the 2nd time to respond to the request. Call announce is a little confusing at first but once you get used to it this works well. Looks good
