It arrived as scheduled and it was as thick as advertised. However, it was clearly a piece that had been cut from a larger roll and it was NOT straight edges so both the long ways and short ways had to be cut again (almost 3 inches taken from the long edge to get it straight). That made the pad considerably shorter than I would have liked. Be prepared to have someone in your house with OCD measure and make the edges straight again. Other wise it works as advertised. No strange smells, no curling, slip resistant, and thick.

I bought two different sizes and they both have worked great! They provide very comfortable and sufficient padding. Very plush under my feet. My husband is in a wheelchair and we have had no difficult with him slipping/sliding on it at all. My dog can also run and slide and it doesn’t budge! It grips the floor well! It was easy to roll out. I did need to cut mine down to a slightly shorter size, but was able to do so with a good pair of scissors. It initially has a strange smell, but that went away very quickly and we haven’t noticed it anymore. Out dog got a UTI and I’ve already had to clean it - just blotted and treated the area. I left mine out in the sun to dry. It was easy and I haven’t had any smells or issues with it after. Would recommend and buy again for future carpets we may purchase in her home!

Works with Ruggable!!! I was so worried it wasn’t going to but it did beautifully!!

You will not regret this purchase! I got the 6'x9' for my Ruggable which was extremely flat and constantly sliding around. The reviews on this rug pad were great so I had to try it. I splurged for the 1/2" because the price difference wasn't much and I'm glad I did! This gives our previously hard and thin rug a luxurious feel. It is so soft and cushiony and gives great support, and best of all, no more sliding! Stays perfectly still. It is maybe 1/4" big on the sides, but that may have been operator error. Well worth the purchase!!

I ended up keeping this even though it wasn't what I had expected. The rubber side is complete, not just random dots, and so far the neighbors haven't complained about sound. The issue is that it's not a half inch thick in most places, which was my criteria. Sure, when fluffed in some places it is (so it's not never a half inch if you squint). But it was just as likely to be 1/4", with the average somewhere in between. Underfoot, it does feel somewhat uneven as well, but that is probably to be expected with cheaper felt. It's not perfectly straight at the edges, but that's also to be expected. So, you might be able to save money by getting this, but just know what you are getting.
