Our 3 year old grandson loves sharks and whales. He knew this was an Orca as soon as he opened the package. He takes it in the bath and carries it around to the store, in the car,... Nothing comes off and it seems very sturdy. A good small gift for a sea creature lover.

Board arrived in perfect time, perfect size, no damage during Transit, would order from again if the need should arise.

The whale has a fair amount of detail and a good paint job. It looks great even down to small details like the teeth. It worked very well as a display model for my nephews science project.

Got this for my son and for my surprise he wasn't that excited. He is a killer whales lover, but this one didn't cut. I honestly think is too small for the price. Get something else.

I really love this killer whale toy. The mold and details are FANTASTIC, especially with the mouth. The orca lacks a saddle patch, though. Why is it so hard to find good orca toys that actually have a saddle patch?! These toys are hand-painted, so this kind of thing would vary, the eye patches on mine were uneven, though it's hard to tell unless you're actively nitpicking. Now, this has more to do with shipping than the quality of the item itself, but the dorsal fin and one of the pectoral fins got bent in shipping. I personally don't mind, in fact, I rather like the unique look the slightly curved dorsal fin gives my whale. There are a few wild orca that have that and it reminds me of them. But I bring it up cause some people would take issue, and might want to try looking for it in a store. But overall, I do recommend this toy. As I mentioned, the mold and paint details are amazing, and aside from the lack of a saddle patch, it's very accurate and one of the best orca toys I've personally found. Like all Safari Ltd. toys, it's made of sturdy plastic so it should hold up well to playtime, and can serve as a great educational tool with its accuracy.

Safari stellt schon echt tolle Figuren her. Da wären Dinosaurier, Wale, Reptilien usw. Im Gegensatz zu den Schleich Modellen sind diese realistischer modelliert und sehen besser aus. Ausserdem kommt noch hinzu, dass sie in einer natürlichen Pose sind und nicht so steif wie Bügelbretter sind. Ebenfalls zu beachten ist die bemalung der Figuren, obwohl man den grauen Sattelfleck, wie man ihn von Orcas kennt, hier bei dem Exmplar nicht bemalt hat oder schlicht und einfach man hat ihn vergessen. Was ebenfalls ein Fehler war, aber das kommt oft bei Gummifiguren vor, egal wie neu sie sind, es waren minimale Macken bei der Figur, aber mit einem schwarzen Edding lassen sich diese beseitigen. Das sind auch die einzigen Mankos, welche bei dieser Figur zu bemängeln sind. Für Fans des Films Orca: Der Killerwal, mit Richard Harris und der wundervollen Musik von Ennio Morricone, eignet sich dieses Modell perfekt um ihn sich in das Regal zur DVD-Sammlung zu stellen, aber auch für jeden Wal Fan und Tierfigurensammler.
