Doesn't make sense for me to pay top dollar for the high-end boots, so found these with solid reviews and a favorable price. Needed them for a trip to extreme northern Sweden in February to see the Northern Lights (temps from 9-28F). Got ones half a size larger which was a perfect fit with heavy socks. Boot quality was good with no issues around the seams, eyelets or laces (as mentioned in some other reviews). Feet stayed warm for hours outside at night standing on a frozen lake and on packed snow and on a mountain top (approx. 3,800 ft.). Took two hikes (4 and 6 miles) on back-to-back days and the boots were comfortable overall, despite these being the first real wear. Some rubbing higher on the ankle, partially because I haven't worn boots in awhile. Hikes were over a mix of hard-packed and banked snow and had no issue with slipping or with moisture getting through the boot. Used these quite a bit last winter, and they pretty much handled whatever the elements threw at them. We don't get bitter cold temps here in NJ, but the lining is soft and warm, and coupled with a good pair of hunting socks, your wheels will stay warm. Spent a couple of hours wearing them in a pretty cold and wet winter day with rain while I was doing some yardwork, and they held up great, and my feet never felt the elements. Good traction too, which is something I always look for in a boot like this.
