Convenience, ease of use
This pump is very convenient and safe for refueling our zero-turn mower. The 1st Gen pumps had insulated wiring in the hose that powered the pump at the end, but the insulation deteriorated leaving exposed wires and the pump stopped working. That pump only lasted a couple years. We decided to buy a new one which ended up being the 2nd Gen and it appears they have corrected this issue. I hope this 2nd Gen lasts longer than the first because it is a great product for refueling basically anything.

Good idea, cheaper ones available
The idea of this is awesome. It works great.. until it doesn't. Somehow they have it timed perfectly for the auto shut off feature to stop working at the one year mark when it is out of warranty. Don't spend the extra money, I bought one of the cheaper ones and it is still working after 1 year

Avoid at all costs. Extremely unreliable.
This is the second pump I purchased from the same manufacturer, and it's failing again. I was more hopeful about the second generation, but after less than a month, the pump intermittently provides the correct, steady fuel flow, then cuts out. You have to turn it off and turn it back on. I've swapped the batteries and tried to troubleshoot it, but I will never buy a pump from this company again. What a frustrating experience!
