Super easy to use.
Easy to use. Nice rich color. Used two coats. Barely wiped second coat off, inorder to get a darker, richer color. Looks great!

Black Cherry stain came out beautifully!
Beautiful color! I bought the Black Cherry stain to try out a first time project and wasnt really sure how it would come out but... I am blown away with how gorgeous this came out. There is plenty left for future projects and it didn't take long to set into the grain either. The coverage was perfect; it took maybe four quick dips of stain to cover the table top and it went on smoothly. Very effective and exactly what I wanted.

Nice color not available locally
This was a Black Cherry oil based stain. Works great. Nice Color. I also use an oil based pre-stain. Goes on pretty fast, and wipe it off immediately, but takes a bit to dry. I allow two days before the clear finish is applied. I may be overly conservative. It's great for Amazon to offer this particular color for sale as the local big box only have a small number of stains.

A Great Stain
Black Cherry Stain is nearly impossible to find in local stores but this one through AMAZON has been great. I've now used it on several restorations and new furniture constructions and it's been giving excellent color to all the different woods I've used it on. Best of all it doesn't "run" when overcoated with either oil based or water based exterior spar varnish and water based interior varnish.

Cherry red really should be called purple red
I’ve gotten this brand of stain before and I love it! Goes on nice and thick the first time and has a really rich color. I used the buy “Mahogany” which I think has been rebranded to “Kona” but figured I would try the “cherry red” since it was $11 for a quart versus $25 for some of the other brown colors. It’s definitely a bit on the purple side. It’s fine for what I’m using it for as 85% of it is covered up. But it’s definitely a bit bright if you aren’t expecting a maroon/purple. Thankfully I had some “mahogany” left and I’m able to use it on the spots that can be seen (I made a wooden outdoor sectional).
