I bought the nest camera second generation and i cannot view the cameras on a pc, i can only use the teeeny cell phone. how do i view on pc?

The google home app can NOT BE VIEWED ON A LAPTOP OR DESKTOP COMPUTER. This camera can NOT BE VIEWED ON THE NEST APP AND CAN ONLY BE VIEWED WITH THE BUGGY GOOGLE HOME APP. NOTE THAT GOOGLE IS DEACTIVATING ALL OF THE OLDER BLACK NEST AND DROPCAM CAMERAS ON APRIL 8TH 2024 AND MAY DEACTIVATE THIS CAMERA IN 2025.

Does this work with the Vivint home security integration like nest?

I cannot be sure about Vivint . . . BUT . . . I was very disappointed with this product, advertised as a Google Nest cam. It does not work with and is not recognizable by the Nest app. It is recognized by the Google Home app.

When you need to review footage having been offline for a while, are there notifications if there has been any motion detection ?

When enabled, you can receive camera alerts as long as you're signed into the app. However, if your phone is offline, you won’t get real time notifications. Also, there's no fee to stream full resolution live video and receive basic notifications, as long as your camera is connected to the internet. But you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription to record video and receive advanced notifications. With a Nest Aware subscription your video will be saved to the cloud and you’ll get extra features. Possible to use a very short usb cable for power? is the usb power cable hard wired? the installation location will be about 10” from a usb outlet.

Installation worked very well. I replaced an older outdoor camera that was on nest aware; however don't know how to change that nest aware subscription to include the replacement camera now.

Soy usuario de cámaras Nest desde hace cerca de 8 años, desde que eran Dropcam, era un servicio y calidad sin igual, pero desde que la tomó Google el problema ha persistido y la atención al cliente es pésimo. Toma en cuenta lo Siguiente: 1.- La cámara solo tiene garantía de un mes por Amazon, y aún que digan que tiene un año por Google no es cierto, eso es solo para los que viven en USA, los que vivimos en latino América el servicio de garantías no sirve. 2.- Antes la app de Nest está excelente, desde que la tomó Google la app Google Home no sirve, no puedo creer que no sepan programar. 3.- Si quieren grabar tendrás que pagar 15 dólares mensuales si no olvídate no sirve porque no tiene ranura para SD. Piénsalo dos veces.
