White Color LED Strip Light, AC 110-120V Flexible/Waterproof/Multi-Modes Function/Dimmable SMD5050 LED Rope Light with Remote for Home/Office/Building Decoration (164ft/50m)

After trying the 12volt LED lights, I found that these 110 - 120 volt lights are brighter and more durable. They give off a nice hue without being overbearing with brightness.

This report is for the 20m RBG LED strip (60 LEDs/m) from IAKOV. I am using this strip to replace an old halogen strip that goes all around the soffit in our master bedroom and 20m is just the length I needed for that. This is a substantial LED string, quite heavy and wider than most, holding its shape well. I did not want it just held straight to the wall, since half the light would then be "wasted" within the soffit, so placed supports at 18" intervals to hold it facing slightly upward, 30deg off vertical; the string does not sag or twist from support to support. The strip is very bright and the colors are good. The remote is IR, which is acceptable, but not ideal -- you have to aim it just so; a radio-frequency remote would be better. When power is first turned on, the string starts in a maddening blinking mode -- it would be better for it to start in a fixed color or in the smooth color-changing mode. This is day 1 in use, so no report yet on durability -- I'll update this report in a few months. It does warm up after some time on -- the manufacturer recommends not keeping it one for too many hours per use; the dimming function works fine, so for our bedroom, I am keeping it on the lowest dim setting. One comment regarding the packaging: the item came in a reused box, in what appears to be the box for different IAKOV product (for fixed-color LED strings), and the clips included in the package were too small for this string. Fortunately, since the web page did not indicate that the package came with clips, I had ordered the recommended IAKOV clips as an additional item and those fit just fine. (The smaller ones in the box where identical in looks and construction, but too narrow for the string.) I assume the mismatch is a consequence of Amazon returns -- if not, then the seller should be more careful.

After installing and using this for less than a month. The lights seem to have over heated and burnt. Have been unable to contact the seller for any type of warranty information. I would strongly suggest purchasing a different product than this.

Still works great after a couple years but the plastic clips fell apart and I had to buy steel ones

These lights are great. They are bright when turned up all the way, but dim nicely as well. The various colors are great. I just wish they could be operated with a mobile app (which is why I rated 4/5 stars). Though I was concerned about the remote, due to some of the reviews, my remote is just fine. I definitely recommend these lights.

So it's the perfect solution to light my very large screen enclosure. I use all 160 feet. I have big concerns on the quality because it feels like the usual offshore manufacturers product with flimsy materials. After about one month up the blue channel appears to have completely gone out. I hope it's just the power box and not the strip. I need a new power box. I hope patching is easy. You need some plastic U channel to actually mount this strip optimally. That will cost you about a dollar a foot. The clips look too flimsy for outdoor use. Now I have to figure out how to get a new power box and patch the strip wires.

After reading the reviews, and the large label on the lights, I did not plug the lights in while on the roll. I unrolled the lights and checked for dead spots or groups that didn't change. I did have 1 foot of lights that did not turn a few colors, but after an hour, and ever since, the entire strip works perfectly. The remote has a short distance but these are lining my back porch, 80 feet around. I bought 3m double sided tape(doesn't come with) and used the hooks that the lights came with to hang(buy screws, none come with). Overall I am extremely happy and would recommend these.

It's great for lighting in molding installation.

Overall these are great, high quality lights. However the timer setting does not work. It will save my colour choice and flash settings but the timer does not work for some reason. I have to manually turn them on and off each day. Other than this issue I am happy with the quality of the lights. Install was okay - I could have used more of the mounting clips for the amount of length in the roll as well, also screws were not provided.
