They will work for no more than 20 full charges. Each charge last me like 6 hours playing. After those 20 the charge last less hours. So no more than 6 months on regular usage. **Q: How many hours of battery life are you guys getting?** A: I just use mine while cutting grass. I’m getting about 5 hours all together. **Q: I just received the adapter, but I can't figure out how to turn off the "beep" that happens every 10 seconds or so. Can it be turned off?** A: It may need to be fully charged . It can be shut off. It is great to be able to keep the older version of Bose headphones since, when not using this adapter, you have the option to use the aux cord connection to watch in-flight movies on long flights. (As far as I know, the new Bose headphones are strictly bluetooth with no aux cord.) Battery life is great and it charges very quickly. As others have noted, the biggest complaint is that this adapter has to be removed from the headphones to access the charge port for recharging. Otherwise I am very satisfied with this purchase.
