2Pc Size D Panasonic Batteries Super Heavy Duty Power Zinc Carbon

Zinc carbon is still a viable solution for household use. Inexpensive, reliable and a tried and true chemistry. Having used Panasonic zinc carbon batteries for over 30 years, I've never had one leak, ever.

These are the only batteries I use in my Topcon laser.

Decent price and worked as they should. Glad I could order these on Amazon for what I needed. Batteries are still working well. I put them in an outside motion light.

Clock specifies use carbon zinc battery. For a very good reason, although the voltage is 1.5 v for all D batteries, the CURRENT PROFILE is not the same. These "inexpensive" clock motors made in China do NOT have a current regulator. Eventually, an alkaline battery will burn it out and have a short life. I expect around 3 to 5 months from this battery.

I have a wall clock that replaced one that stopped working, The manufacturers technical support person advised me to switch to carbon zinc batteries from popular alkaline ones to avoid harm to mechanical parts of clock that play up to 30 different tunes. The face behind the hands also opens & spins on the hour. The clock runs for months and keeps precise time on a pair of these batteries.
