Gave this machine its first workout today. Very easy to handle for someone with smaller than average hands. No vibration. Works very well.

This tool is a beast. Nicest cut-off tool on the market, just make sure you get good batteries to power it. It’s also the only cut-off tool that comes with a guide. Great to have for when you need straight cuts. The cut-off wheels that come with this tool are mediocre at best, so use this tool with good Diablo cut-off wheels and you will be unstoppable.

I love this Milwaukee cut-off tool. I purchased it to cut an opening for an electric outlet in my bathroom ceramic tile. With the included diamond blade, it cut through the tile like butter. With the included disk for cutting drywall, I've used it to remove grout from my shower wall. The included vacuum attachment worked great to prevent grout dust from flying all over. The attachment also allows you to set the exact cutting depth that you need. Removing grout is intensive and I had to recharge my three 12V batteries a few times to complete the job. You can't get to the wall corners with this. I use my oscillating tool with a grout removal blade for those areas. Earlier this year, I installed gutter guards on my gutters. I had to cut them using both a tin snips and a Dremel drill with a cutting disk. That job would have been so much easier if I had this cut-off tool to do that cutting.

I'm a mechanical contractor and I do a little bit of everything. HVAC, Electrical, and a little plumbing in remodels. I bought this tool on a whim not having tried or seen one other than online. I ordered this with the intention of using it to cut PVC linehide and was blown away by the functionality of the tool. it not only works great for pvc, it works great for drywall. I recently did a job where radiant heating tubing was laying unsupported on a ceiling i had to run wire through this tool cut only to the paper allowing me to slice the paper with a razor knife giving me more control taking cut drywall out above my head. dust extraction is a must when cutting drywall with this tool. I've used the makita drywall saw and it is much easier to make clean lines with, but slower, and harder to dial the depth right as to not cut anything behind the wall. dust is not as much of an issue with the makita tool. Also, this is my favorite tool to use when cutting metal. You name it, sheet metal, Uni-strut, all-thread, junction boxes, bolts, round duct, square duct, copper even, this is the tool for the job. Also this thing works wonders with the diamond blade for small work to flatten rock for mounting electrical disconnects for a/c to masonry. Also great for cutting tile for outlets or switches. The smaller battery packs do not seem to give the tool the same power as with the larger XC batteries, although I don't notice the difference on some of my other m12 tools. I barely touch my 4 inch grinder now. On second thought maybe don't buy this one cause everybody will want to borrow it! 5/5 would recommend

I’ve been using the Milwaukee M12 Fuel 3" Cut Off Tool for a few weeks now and it’s been a really handy addition to my tools. It’s compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to handle, especially when working in tight spaces where a larger grinder would be awkward. I’ve used it to cut metal, bolts, and some tile, and it handled the jobs better than I expected for such a small tool.The brushless motor feels powerful and the tool spins up quickly. It makes clean, precise cuts and the control is really good with one hand. The guard adjustment is also simple and useful depending on the angle you’re working at.One thing to keep in mind is that this is the bare tool, so it does not come with a battery or charger. I already have other M12 tools, so that wasn’t an issue for me, but it’s something new buyers should be aware of. With a good M12 battery, it performs really well.Overall, it’s a solid, well-built tool that’s great for small cutting jobs and quick tasks. If you’re already using the M12 system, this is definitely a useful tool to have.
