EVGA 2 GB GTX 960 SuperSC Nvidia Maxwell Gaming Graphics Card

I got this to replace an EVGA GTX 470 that gave up the ghost after being in service 5 years or so. This card is much more efficient than the 470 especially when using two monitors simultaneously. Without the fan being turned on when not running graphics intensive apps/games the GPU just goes to around 33C. Previously when I had two monitors on on the 470 the temps shoot up to 50C plus resulting in the fan running up to audible levels. I ran the Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 and got 39.9 FPS at a resolution of 1920x1200 fullscreen with AA set at 4X and Tesselation at Medium. This is with a 6 year old i7 CPU. I downloaded the EVGA Precision X 16 app so I can program the fan. With the custom program I created, the temps only went up to 54C with the fan spinning at 1900rpm when running the benchmark. At these speeds it was barely audible. I don't really use this PC for gaming as much anymore but it is nice to know that it can still play games at decent frame rates if needed. To sum it up, this card is much more efficient than the one it replaced (GTX 470) and only needed an extra six pin power connector compared to two for the GTX 470. It also ran faster and more efficient.

I originally bought this to breathe some life into my very old intel core 2 duo (E6400) pc, to replace the geforce 7900gs card which could no longer deal with the graphical demands of modern games! This card was perfect for this, as there was very little headroom on the 300w power supply for a modern power thirsty card so the EVGA gtx 750 ti was ideal having a rated power of only 60w. It was also ideal for me as I have since upgraded to a new pc with an i5 4590k cpu, and this card performs even better with this hardware. Do not be fooled by the small size or low power requirements of this card, it is highly capable for even very current games! My superclocked (SC) version from EVGA overclocks itself automatically using nvidia gpu boost to 1320mhz which is far above the 1255mhz advertised. Typically it can run high to very high settings on modern games at 60 fps (shadow of mordor, or tomb raider for instance) and can manage ultra/max settings if you don't mind the fps dropping to about 30-40. Given the low power requirements of this card the temperatures of the gpu (measured using gpu z) never raise above ~55° even when under full load for prolonged gaming. Consequently the cooling fan on the card stays very quiet! All in all I am very impressed with this graphics card, and would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to either upgrade an older pc or to build a new gaming pc without having to spend a fortune on a graphics card. Note: This card has no PCIe 6 pin power input, and instead gains it's power direct from the motherboard. The motherboard is capable of powering up to 75watts to the card - even though the EVGA SC version is rated at 60watts I have recorded spikes of up to 70watts drawn under very high sudden load. EVGA recommends running this card on a system with at least a 300w power supply with 20 amps on the 12v rail (you can find this labelled on your power supply). This card ran fine on my old pc with this specification power supply

Bought this card for my Dell XPS 8700 that uses Intel i5 4430 CPU. 8GB RAM 64 bit Windows 10. I have a new Dell U2415 monitor and the old Radeon HD 7500 card was struggling and not doing well. This card was a breeze to install in the Dell XPS 8700. Took old Radeon out and second card slot metal plate to make room for this giant. Fits perfectly. I let Windows 10 update find and install current drivers from online! Happy so far with this. I don't really play games but nice to have an improved look for the bigger Dell 24" monitor. Great price for this card at the time of purchase. Hope this helps and Dell XPS 8700 users out there.

Hardcore gamers probably hate this card but it worked perfectly for me and the price was right. Set up a couple PCs for my 10 and 11 yr old kids who wanted to play Minecraft and some older Star Wars PC games, settled on these cards to keep the cost down. The kids love the way Minecraft looks after switching from onboard video and the Star Wars games look great. The video card in my Mac Pro went out shortly after buying these for the kids, pulled one of theirs to test it and it worked without any effort. If you use Target Mode or any thing that uses the boot screen you'll be out of luck until the login screen comes on. Also, I'm running Mavericks, think you'll at least need to be running Lion. Check the web first. The old card was dragging down everything, feels like a new computer with this card! So look elsewhere if you're concerned about wicked framerate, cuda cores, etc., you probably won't like this card. But if you need a card and don't want latest and greatest, this card works great and is priced right. DVI, VGA, and HDMI output is nice. comes with half-height adapters and driver disc which contains the driver installation program, (why not just the driver!?!?) and a bunch of other junk, be careful what you click and be sure to un-click some options or you'll wind up with more than you need. Update: 12/23/14, all 3 cards are still running strong. The Mac Pro never gets shut down, just standby. The 2 PCs have played a lot of Minecraft. Update: 3/21/16, all still running great, 2 have been transferred to new PCs, Mac card still chugging along.

Un plauso ad amazon per la celerissima spedizione. Ho scelto questa scheda grafica ricercando qui e la su internet, per avere buone prestazioni per il gaming in 1080p senza però dover spendere una cifra esagerata, la scheda in se mi aveva convinto già dai primi utilizzi, con giochi del tipo sym city, league of legend ( che gira a quasi 400fps, inutili, ma pur sempre ottimi per fare videomontaggi ) poi mi9 ha tolto ogni dubbio con Fallout 4 e the witcher 3, che con un aggiustatina alle impostazioni grafiche si comportano egregiamente mantenendo 60 fps anche in momenti di elevato stress per la GPU. Un altro punto nettamente a favore è la silenziosità della scheda, le cui ventole possono essere gestite dal programma Precision X , arrestandole del tutto ( il che avviene normalmente in modalità AUTO ) quando la temperatura dela scheda è al di sotto di una data temperatura. La mia scheda ad esempio porta le ventole al 30% solo dopo aver raggiunto 60° , riducendo la tempreatura significativamente in meno di un minuto, da 60° a 30° con temperatura ambiente 20° . ancora non ho avuto la gioia di provare il sistema in toto nella bella stagione estiva, ma per ora il PC gira fresco e senza problemi ( a ventole ferme per di più). Un'altra piccola cosuccia da dire è che nel disco di "installazione" della scheda trovate programmi utilissimi come nvidia Geforce experience , che ottimizzerà automaticamente (sotto previo consenso) le impostazioni grafiche di ogni gioco a cui abbiate giocato almeno una volta, presente sul vostro PC , e che inoltre vi permetterà di "Riprendere" le vostre partite il qualità Full HD direttamente da scheda video , senza cali di FPS con l'opzione shadowplay. Credo sia tutto, il prodotto è davvero buono e lo consiglio per chi ha un portafogli limitato e non vuole dover spendere 350€ per una gtx 970 o una R9 280X . la controparte di AMD per questa scheda dovrebbe essere almeno una R9 270 dual x ma a parità di prestazioni, la evga gtx960 ha dalla sua i bassi consumi ed il prezzo veramente vantagioso.
