Just what I needed

using for archival storage of documents. difficult to find legal size binders so few choices. Fatal design flaw - the width is too narrow for standard archival 9 x 15 sheet protectors, which negates the purpose of proper storage - the edges stick out, which invites damage in handling and shelf storage. I am working around the issue by gluing plastic panels to inside covers to extend the width. Only needs 5/8th inch more width to be perfect. A classic 'make it just cheap enough' by cutting corners. As four ring binders are seemingly being discontinued (to save manufacturing costs I presume), and three ring versions taking their place, with less secure holding and mismatch to many pre-punched sheets, there is little choice. The three ring version promise to have their width's extended as a result of complaints about this very issue, one might think that would work - but those I have found are also too narrow to do the job. May suppliers listen to the needs of customers and meet their needs - the only way to sell products. This is no place to skimp on quality to make marketing department happy. I would gladly pay extra for the right size than have to fudge the product.

This works great for legal size papers. A standard hole punch works with this. Looks nice and easy to use.

The binder itself arrived in excellent condition, but the rings were all a little bit off. Made it a pain in the you know what to flip the pages through. Also, the all black is very boring and I wish that came in different colors. I may move the pages to a different binder, because this one is just so well ugly. But the main thing is, when it arrived the rings did not match up perfectly.
