The amount of anti-microbial is not significant enough to affect the balance in Septic Systems when used occasionally as directed. Inactive ingredients include Polyvidone (Helps form the structure of the tablet) Citric Acid (Natural Preservative) Sodium Citrate (Neutralizing Agent) Sodium polyacrylate (Helps keep the tablet dry until use) All ingredients are deemed Eco-Friendly and has been deemed unharmful to the environment.

A: It's made in China,  so it can not be cruelty free as they require animal testing.

I normally clean my washer by hand because I didn't know these tablets existed until recently. I've been trying to get rid of these black/dark grey streaks near the top for some time. I used two tablets and noticed a generally clean machine but the streaks were still there. I ran it again and used three tablets. When I opened it, I smelled the fresh smell and the streaks are very light, barely noticeable. I wish the scent was a little stronger. It would have been nice if everything got super clean after the first try. Eh, they worked well enough that I plan on buying them in the future.
