Using the gel kept the fistula moist during healing and helped prevent tearing of semi healed areas. Untreated was far more painful especially when the healing areas tore apart. I also found that it helped with the smell, the treated fistula seemed to have a much lower odour than the untreated as well as time healing - my untreated fistulas, on average, take approx 18 months to heal. However, with treatment using this gel, the healing time seems to average approx 6 months (obviously the time can vary depending on the length and area of each fistula). I have come to these conclusions by comparing similarly situated fistulas of approx the same size. With these results I have no hesitation in recommending it as well as making repeat purchases as and when needed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Review: Fantastic. - I love this cream, it's helped my traumatised skin enormously. A long-term wound had become so dry and dessicated, it was as uncomfotable as the injury itself. If exudation low. It prevents dressing from sticking to wound. **Q: Can someone please tell me how many uses you can get from this size package. Thank you, Michelle** A: I started with small amounts using it only on edge of wound to stop damaging the healing process. Five times at most, Don't use too much because it makes the dressing, if foam, slip from wound. However,If unhappy about it stop and discard tube. I hope this helps Michelle.
