I open it 10 hours a day. The other plants seem happy with it. However, I guess the power is less than 150W. I'll find a power meter to check it. If there is anything new, I will update this review. Review: Saving outside plants and trying to grow tomatoes - We had a small herb garden going the last two years but this year we decided to bring them into the house; about the same time we had a tomato sprout shoots as we left it too long on the counter. In searching for indoor lights to assist with our winter garden we came across the Venesun 150 lamp which seemed suited for our needs. It has been about a month of indoor use now and the tomato seedlings have grow to sizable plants already and the other outdoor plants are starting to make a comeback from their initial dormant state. Overall quite happy with these lights; we've set them up in our basement on timers and all works really well.
