Highly recommend it if you are looking for a katana sword, with LED lights, sound effects, and a special "sparking" feature when the sword is removed from the scabbard. Yes you heard me, there are REAL sparks that will occur when the sword is being pulled free of the scabbard. This makes for realistic play. However, for this reason, the sword is not recommended for younger children that are not supervised while using this sword. If you have a cosplay event coming up, getting ready for Halloween, you or your kids are part of a drama theatre, or are just looking for an excuse to purchase a pretend katana sword, then this is seriously a fantastic option!! It has been entertaining for both my daughters (ages 9 and 12), as well as my husband. Overall quality of the material feels excellent to the touch, the sword is not flimsy, it is heavier and more realistic when moving it around into various striking positions. The LED lights are a fun addition and the sound effects are not to robotic.

The steam function is easy to use, but keep in mind it will continue as long as the lights are on, even if it's in the sheath. The sparking function is really cool and adds a lot of fun. This is one of the times that the product lives up to the ad in both look and function. It seems very sturdy, and has held up without issue. For the price, I would say this is a good value.
