Used by my wound care nurse on my legs. The only objections I have for this product is the cost and that there is not a generic substitute for it.

This item is excellent for healing diabetic foot wounds without medication.

I have been working on my wounds for some time now. We have been through pretty much every type of gel, cloth, compound, etc. My doctor was at his wits end as to what was left. After doing some research, I stumbled upon this product. Sorbact lifts and retains the bacteria from the wound. I presented this option to my doctor, and he agreed it was worth a shot. After receiving the product, I began applying the mesh atop my wounds with hydrogel. Doc informed me that it could take up to a full two weeks before seeing a major difference. Well, around the 10 day mark, you could really see how much this product was helping. To date, I have been using this product since July, and my wounds have dramatically decreased in size. They look so much healthier than previously. If it wasn't for another skin issue, I believe these would have finally healed up. But, I'm getting there. Slowly but surely. They're currently about the size of a quarter or smaller. This is from my one wound, which was about a 4x4" or slightly larger. This product was not one that my wound care nurse was familiar with. Nor were they able to purchase this same product for me. So, I purchased it myself. The price can be a bit of an ouch, especially if you're on Medicare and a tight budget. But, if you've run through the gamut like myself, you'll try or pay for whatever will finally get you healing. I removed 1 star since this product price has jumped up $10 recently. The mesh can be cut to size. You do NOT need to cut it larger than the wound itself. Just cut, place inside/atop the wound with some hydrogel and cover with cotton gauze or bandage. If you find your exuding more fluid, you can change the top layer, leaving this particular type of Sorbact on for a couple of days. (If you purchase the other types, please check the usage instructions since they may differ). This product is non-adhering and should remove easily. If the Sorbact seems dry, you can add a bit more hydrogel or spray with a bit of water to make the removal easier. I have not had any problems with removal like I have had with other products sticking to the wound. All in all, this product has made things easier for maintaining and cleansing the wounds. This product has been a complete game changer for healing my wounds. So, if you or a loved one has had difficulty healing. Or, may possibly have an autoimmune, cancer, diabetes etc which slows the healing process. Please ask your doctor if this is a possibility. Good luck, and I hope you're healing soon.

I use this product for 5 pen wounds I have on my ankles. This not first toe I order this product and never had a problem . Till now.
