After my cats broke my 85” TCL tv, I needed a cheaper replacement. I consulted with my electronics expert (ex boyfriend) and he said this would definitely fit my needs, though he did say the QM7K was an excellent step up. I asked if it was worth the extra $300, and he said probably not for me so I saved the money and got this QM6K. I’m not disappointed at all! Very crisp and bright, just as much as my old 85”. It required almost no adjustment for color & brightness. The Google TV system is easy to set up and even as a former Roku fan, I decided I much prefer this. I can even adjust my thermostat & turn off my kitchen lights through the tv as they’re Google enabled. I do keep my viewing area dark with low lights. If you like lots of sunlight, you might prefer the QM7K as it’s much brighter. Reflections from any lights I have on in the room are almost unnoticeable, an improvement over my old tv. I did not test the original sound as I immediately plugged in my soundbar. This is a large TV, but it has legs instead of a center stand, which I feel is more stable considering I have 3 @-hole cats. Still, I added 2 different kinds of safety straps just to be certain. I might get a 3rd type. The only thing I hate is the glowing yellow light on the bottom of the television. I watch a lot of subtitled shows and I find it annoying, though a strip of electrical tape will fix that right up.

this TV is a great value. Beautiful picture, bright, and looks great when compared side by side next to some of the competitors. Amazing refresh rates at 4k for the price. able to play my pc games at 3840x2160 (4k) at 144hz plus game mode up to 244. . You must have high quality HDMi cables to achieve the faster refresh rates but this TV is definitely capable. really happy i went with this model over the best buy model qm5k

So, I have always shopped for TVs by going in person to see them at a local retailer. The last time I went in however, i began realizing that the environment was setup differently for different sets. the cheap sets were in the brightest areas on normal shelves. the expensive sets are in a cozy little room thats dim and is extremely favorable. it gives them an unfair advantage. so this time, i just skipped the in person and went off reviews and my own research within my budget. i am absolutely blown away by this tv. mini-led is the future. it was the biggest upgrade ever from our broken LG 75"... but even comparing to friends sets... a bravia... a samsung.. this is better. tcl won some fans when everyone saw this set... and to think, this isnt their top of the line model, is just inspiring. for the specs - the black levels are INSANE for an led. its approaching oled level. i cannot see any halo effect. motion blue is null. colors are VERY vibrant. the only complaint i have on the set, is the integration of google. if you are in the google universe and dont care about the tv having a 24/7 connection to google to mine your data... then there are some nice features i suppose with the apps. personally, i prefer my apple tv. i compared youtube via the google app in the tv, and youtube via apple tv... and hands down, the apple tv won by a landslide.

Sometimes the apps run slow and I would have to restart the TV but with new software updates the TV runs smoother. picture quality is amazing for the price. All so, I was surprised how good the sound quality is.

There’s not much to say except this TV is flat‑out incredible and easily the best one I’ve ever purchased. I’ve always stuck to mid‑tier models, but this blows every LG UHD or Samsung Crystal set I’ve owned completely out of the water — and I paid more for those. The picture quality, brightness, and overall performance are on another level. It works beautifully right out of the box, but it’s also deeply customizable so you can dial in a comfortable viewing experience in any lighting situation. It has genuinely spoiled me and my wife, and we’re already planning to get the QM8K for our living room. This thing set a new standard for us.
