ESV Gospel Transformation Study Bible: Christ in All of Scripture, Grace for All of Life® (Hardcover)

This bible is perfect in helping me to understand certain scriptures and it explains what is happening in a certain situation in the bible, it expands and illuminates so much, I find it invaluable. It immerses you in each book of the bible, you don't have to second guess or look up in another reference what is mean't, this bible does it all for you. An excellent study bible for new Christians or those serious of delving deeper into the bible for understanding and clarification. I highly recommend this gorgeously bound edition. One of my wisest decisions was buying this Bible. I am left wondering how I actually got along without it! The first few pages are beautifully set out for recording births, marriages & deaths for family member's. It would make a beautiful wedding gift.

I’m beyond delighted with this Bible! I hardly know where to begin! The quality of the crisp white paper and the very clear font style and sizes make it easy to read, even for my aging eyes. I like the layout, with the cross-references (Which are in quite tiny but still readable print) at the inner margins, and footnotes at the bottom of each page. The footnotes are superb. Reading them you get not only clarify Greek and Hebrew terms or alternative translations of words, but also explanatory information on things like grammatical points not apparent in English, or that give insight into what things meant in the culture or settings of the time. These notes are so clear that it’s like having an adult Bible teacher right there, talking to you. This is a fairly chunky Bible, about 2” thick, by 6 & 1/2 “ wide, by 9 & 1/2 “ tall by my rough measurement. But it lays flat nicely. I had not used an ESV translation before, and I do find it easy to read. Ive just received it today, so haven’t had a chance to explore the unified message that it promises of seeing the gospel in all of scripture. However, just by the “voice” in which the Introduction and preface are written, I know it will go straight to my heart. I’m going to be using this study Bible in conjunction with YouVersion’s 2 Year Bible Reading Plan (volume 2), in place of my New Living Translation Bible. Which I love for it’s readability , but it isn’t a study Bible and I can see from my preliminary browsing that I’ve missed some salient points. I highly recommend this study Bible!
