Best Fish Investment EVER!
I truly wish I had before pictures of how horrible my 100g fish tank was. I have been cycling it once a week, for about a year. I treat and test it periodically, but nothing would bring the water to clarity. My fish and Clawed toe frogs have been doing great though so I never just emptied the tank to restart all the growth that took me so long to grow. After just 1 day I visually noticed a differences, I could actually see things in the back of my tank again. Day 2 was nothing left but a faint green haze. Day 3, the water was completely clear and I can see all my fish and am no longer embarrassed when my family comes by and asks the question "why dont you clean you fish tank".... that always put me on the defensive. Day 4, the water is beginning to look like fresh pool water, my tank has never been this clear even when beginning the cycle process. I am so happy with this product, and am so happy to see all my fish thriving. I think they're happier as well. If you have a tank, it may not have to be this one specifically, but you need to invest in a U-V filter. The only thing I can do is speak from my experience and I'm beyond satisfied with this filter.

This Product is Amazing
Better in 4 days - Totally Crystal Clear in 5 days!!!!I This product works wonders. I have had this 40 gallon tank for years. We have had some issues from time to time with some brown algae on the glass and decor but never a full blown pea soup/mt dew algae bloom. I struggled for weeks, even getting a new canister filter, but nothing worked (I refuse to use algaecides)....until I purchased this UV filter 3 days ago. I read some of the not so great reviews and I think the company is actually looking at those and taking them to heart because every single complaint was addressed with "caution and remember" type stickers on multiple parts of the package. The shock sponge removal reminder was everywhere and it mentioned it may be wet because it was tested to make sure it worked (mine was not wet). I will also say the suction cups on this are amazing, once it is placed on the glass it is not going anywhere, so do keep that in mind before you put it on. Also the flow is a bit strong, so I put a plant in front of it to calm it down a bit. In a larger tank I don't think that would be an issue. I am not using the air bubbler as we have a ring bubbler we already use but if you decide to use their bubbler you do not need anything extra so that even means 1 less electric plug. It creates the bubbles by an extension tube that sucks in the air. I am hoping that when it is fully cleared up I can remove it just so my fish have a bit more room but if I need to leave it in to keep it crystal clean daily I will buy a timer so the UV light is not on 24/7. Note to manufacturer: it would be nice if there was a switch built in to turn the light on and off but leave on the filter part. Summary: 5+ stars. I would highly recommend and wiuld absolutely buy this product again!

Cleared Tank
I've been fighting that nasty brown algae in my 30 gal. aquarium for the lest two years. I would deeply clean the entire tank so that it was spotless but less than 24 hours later there was algae beginning to appear on all of the plants and rocks. I tried everything I could think of; water and filter changes every three days, putting phosphate removal systems in, applying a number of different algacide products (which killed a few fish but not the algae), putting algae eaters and even snails in, and even boiling the water before putting it in the tank so I wasn't adding more and ABSOLUTELY nothing worked. I was literally considering putting the entire setup on CraigsList and giving up. I decided to look in Amazon one last time (since local pet stores PetSmart and Petco carried nothing but algacide) and found this system. I figured it was expensive but sounded decent with the UV to kill the algae. It was money completely well spent. The first week the algae was noticeably reduced. I just finished cleaning the tank and changed about 25% of the water and there were very small green areas here and there but the water, the gravel and the plants are no longer brown and dying and the fish and shrimp are very healthy and active. In fact, the fish seem to love the water movement from this system and play in it constantly. I gave this a 5 star and would recommend this system to anyone who wants to clean out algae or to just maintain the tank.

Can not adjust
It works. It is rated for 40-80 gallons. I have a 55ga with neon tetras. The flow even when at the lowest setting is really strong. The plants were almost horizontal! Moved the fish to quarantine tank for couple days while the water cleared because they were struggling in that level of flow. Did clear the green water in a couple days. Not suitable for continuous use IMO

READ FIRST! It leaks due to design/manufacturing defect.
I bought a JUB-01 in Jan 2024. Installed it in a 70 gal turtle/fish aquarium on my light timer so it only ran about 10 hours per day. It worked great when it was first installed and cleared up the cloudy water in a couple of days. I recently noticed the water getting cloudy again and saw the light was not blue at the bottom. I pulled the filter and when I opened it up the inner quartz tube around the bulb was totally filled with water. The bulb was corroded and shorted out. I am a Plastics Engineer and started looking at the O ring interface to see if silicone grease or a thicker O ring might help fix the issue. However I noticed that it looks like the factory applied a layer of "glue" inside the molded cylinder where the O ring on the quartz tube is supposed to compress and seal. It might have worked, but was poorly executed. It was not smooth and has ripples in the glue surface so the O ring cannot compress evenly and seal. This was not normal for this type of design and after 20 years of working with Chinese suppliers sourcing plastic parts for major US companies, I am guessing the molding diameter was out of specification. To save a few bucks, rather than scrapping the parts, they tried to rework them using a "glue" wiped inside the plastic cylider to decrease the inner diameter by 0.5mm or so and better compress the O ring. However there are large ripples in the hard glue surface so it is not even and there is no way for it to make a good/even compression of the O ring around the entire circumference. Maybe it was smooth enough to work sometimes, but If you get one of these and see a "glue" build up where the quartz tube/ O ring is supposed to seal I do not recommend using it. Just send it back. Looking at reviews from late 2023 to early 2024 a lot of units reported leaking. I'll bet they all have this "glue" rework inside of them. They need to fix the molding process or modify the molding tool so it has the correct dimensions for the O ring to seal without adding crap to the inner sealing surface as a band-aid.

Keeps my aquarium clean
Ultraviolet sanitation destroys the bacteria, fungus, and algae from building up in my tank, keeping it clear and clean this add to the filtration in my tank and extending a time between water changes by a great deal

Just what I needed
Replacing filters every week was getting expensive. This product has eliminated that. Works well. Water quality is nice. Will not eliminate alge existing on anything but once everything got a good scrub the algae is under control. Much better that the disposalable filter system. Does work in a 10 gallon tank but you have to keep the water level up to the very top.

I LOVE THIS UV FILTER! TOP Quality, GREAT Value, This Company CARES.
Shipped quickly, arrived quickly. I've had an aquarium for 40 years, and i've lots of experience with high quality tools and electronics. I knew when i unpacked it that this was a quality piece of equipment. You can tell by both the heft of it, the solidness and the way everything fits together. Well designed, well made. I was pleasantly surprised at finding not just the one sponge filter that's installed, but also three extra sponge filters (one is wrapped around the bulb for shipping to prevent "shock damage"; don't throw it away after your remove it). I was simply stunned to find an extra bulb in box with the extra sponges, plus the one that's installed in the unit. I couldn't find the little piece of anti-shock rubber around the bulb which the instructions mentioned. I disassembled as per the easy instructions (it was not wet; no water in it), reassembled with the air bubble hose attached, placed it halfway up the back wall of my 55 gal (it stuck securely with the 4 suction cups), plugged it in and it worked immediately. There is not sound except a tiny hiss of the fine bubbles it makes in its STRONG current. With the aquarium light off, the uv filter is designed so that i can see a small spot of blue uv light so i know that the uv-c bulb is working. I LOVE THIS UV FILTER! Update 1 1/2 Years later STILL GOING STRONG! Crystal clear water, no more 'pea soup' and massive aglae growth! it came with two bulbs, they last a LONG time (i think i might have replaced it once unnecessarily before it died). Don't hesitate to buy this!
