I purchased this collar on the recommendation of a friend that keeps outdoor hunting dogs. After a failed attempt at keeping my mini Labradoodle from barking at every single person and dog we encountered while wearing a cheaper bark collar, I didn’t have high hopes for this one.I work in an office that allows me to bring my (behaved) dog to work, so I was really hoping to get this barking thing under control to take her to work with me without her barking at customers.Let me tell you, it works! And fast! She no longer barks at people passing by, in the car, or at other dogs. I can take her to work!It has 5 strength settings to choose from. I set it at 4. It warns the her with a beeping noise, then a vibrate before it sends a sock. I like this bc I know when it’s working and so does she!The only downfall I will say is that she now has learn that she can do this a “whine” like she’s talking to me when she’s in the car and wants to jump into the front seat with me (which I don’t allow). The collar will not send a beep for this. I plan to see if I can get the remote control version to see if I can fix this small issue.

We have a 6 yr old Mini Labradoodle.Lucy is a very excitable loud barker. She barks while playing, swimming & just greeting visitors.We have a swimming pool so she is in the pool more often than not all summer.Needless to say, her barking is obnoxious not only to us, but neighbors as well, I'm sure.I have had a bark collar that was supposed to be "water proof" in fact it was not. I had to buy an expensive one every year. Not only that, but it would shock her for no reason. I hated hearing her yelp.This year I did my research and found this collar.It really works! It is waterproof! I'm so pleased with this collar. It beeps at her as a warning first when she barks- that beep works wonders. If for some reason she continues it vibrates. She has been responding so well to this. The battery seems to last most of the day with lots of jumping in the pool and swimming.I'm thrilled with this collar!I Reccomended it!

Ok, so I dont typically write reviews but corrective collars like this I feel I must say something. This collar works exactly as it's supposed to. Set up took a few minutes but once you understand its function it's pretty easy to use after that! I'm a young tech person, but the instructions are a little weird to get. I've had and used this collar on my super anxious German shepherd when I'm in the house to demote excessive barking at people/animals/things through the windows and such. I think just due to her long hair, but sometimes the collar wont catch her barking and that's a bit annoying but there's only so much you can do about that. The battery life is decent, lasts a long while depending on how frequently you use it and at which setting. I've had this collar for nearly 6 months now and honestly have no complaints. Works just as expected! I like that it comes with different collar type options (plastic or cloth) and different prong sizes for different type hair lengths. Good collar for the price and functionality.I work in the animal field and I am noticing a lot of these reviews state that their dogs are feeling "less anxious" or "more relxed" as soon as the collar comes out or is put on. To clarify, I use this product on my dog and am not against the proper use of corrective collars like this. Just be aware that you are NOT CALMING your dog. You are conditioning a reaction!! Not a bad thing, but understand these collars DO NOT have magical abilities to ease your dogs nerves. You are literally providing a training method enforced by noise/motion/pain to instill a reaction you prefer, like not barking at the mailman 500 feet away! I know that bit isnt a review exactly but I couldnt say nothing. Sorry. Please understand what you are buying for your pet and what types of other positive reinforcement training you should use IN ADDITION to these types of corrective collars. Your dog isn't feeling less anxious, they're responding to a negative reaction.

I bought 2 for my dogs and it was a waste of money!! They both barked though them it did at first seem to work but no the neighbors came out the next day and it was on. I guess it was challenge excepted for them. lol and dogs won

UPDATE: 2019-12-11*I was contacted by the seller regarding this product. There was a known issue with one of their suppliers and I received a defective unit. I was offered a replacement which I received promptly. I have changed my rating from 1 to 3 due to the professionalism of their CS. However, I will update this review accordingly after using the collar for some time.I got this collar in March 2019. The packaging seemed sound and everything tested correctly per the included instructions. However, I felt I should be a better dog owner and thus never even fitted the collar to my dog before packaging it back up and putting it aside. Come November 2019, I had second thoughts and unpackaged the collar again. However, now it doesn't work. No matter how long I charge it, just the red and blue lights stay on and I cannot modify any of the settings. Not to mention even test it like before. I wouldn't have mind if I used it for several months and it went out. But I literally kept it in it's original packaging for six months and it no longer works. The only reason I'm not giving it 1 stars across the board is because it did work when I first got it.
