Adafruit USB Micro-B Breakout Board [ADA1833]

I got this a few months ago at this point for charging a battery and powering an Adafruit Feather in a lightsaber project I was doing, and it still works great! It came exactly as pictured and was easy to solder. Overall, great product, next time I need something similar, I know what to buy!

I accidentally shoved in the micro usb charger and it broke. I was bummed out and saw a Kasa/ Tapo camera would be $45! I looked on Reddit how to fix and they recommended this. This was my first time soldering anything. I bought a solder hot pen and looked up how to do it. Well camera works now. This is will not fit correctly in to the opening so I can to cut it up and shoved the charging have in about 3in.

Used it to power a ESP32 camera and an led.

While the quality is not bad.

I needed a micro-b breakout board for a little ESP32 project. I have several of the lower cost units and all I can say is, that, if you compare them with this Adafruit unit, there is no comparison. This is typical Adafruit quality, it's very well made and the micro-b socket is solidly attached. I know, it's more $, however, you get what you pay for! So... if you have a project where you are going to be plugging the USB cord in and out on a regular basis, or just want a well made unit, I suggest, that, you get this Adafruit breakout board.

The included breakaway header had an extra pin, so I just snipped it off with some flush cutters. If you're having trouble getting it to stand up while soldering (it's very front-heavy), you can bend some extra breakaway header through the mounting holes on a breadboard.

I didn't get what i ordered i got something worth a lot more money than the usb break out board hence the 3 stars.

Exactly what I needed, works like it should, and was still cheaper than buying it a local chain retailer. I would say that it came in packaging that was a bit excessive for the size of this product, but this was a one off purchase for me, as I purchased it as a singular item and still appreciate the caution.

Arrived three days after ordering, which is pretty good!. Great little breakout, does exactly what you'd expect and is very well soldered. It comes with header pins but oddly these are supplied in rows of six - so you have to snap a pin off. This is very easy to do though, just seems a waste. I bought five so I can integrate them with any projects I build in the future and power them with standard USB phone chargers.

Der Anschluss funktioniert gut und das Board lies sich leicht einbauen und verlöten. Das Gerät in dem es eingesetzt wurde liefert darüber stabile 5,6MB/s.
