Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50

Love this! Blends into natural skin color so well. Coverage is great without looking cakey or like heavy makeup but evens out skin tone and lasts all day. Doesn’t dry my skin. I’m 50+ and don’t even use moisturizer before applying. Apply with fingers and use a brush with powder and again, lasts all day! I don’t use anything else. However I do NOT like their color sciencepowder. It’s horrible. But I love the Younique pressed powder with it. Bought on a whim to get spf and so glad I did. Tried It brand and some others and none compares!

I have been using Colorscience Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 Original color for over 5 years. I love that the color blends with your skin so well and provides a natural looking finish. It does not cover all of my dark spots or defects, but it makes my natural skin look better. The finish is soft and silky and the 50 helps protect my skin from additional sun damage. If you are looking for a more natural finish, this is a great choice.

My skin is medium/dark tan with pink undertone and is sensitive/ rash prone. I purchased this because it was listed on folliculitisscout.com as a sunscreen that does not cause skin irritation. It does not irritate at all and does not have any ingredients that would flare eczema / rosacea/ psoriasis/seborrheic acne/ etc. This sunscreen is very much like a sheer foundation. ( I chose matte) I was afraid it might look too much like makeup, which I really didn't want. I wanted a natural look without having the ghost pale look of sunscreen. This was perfect for my skin. Blended in perfectly without looking like sunscreen or makeup. It has a very nice finish. It is described as matte, but I would call it a natural finish, not too overly matte. I took five different face sunscreens on my most recent vacation and ended up using only this. It is pricey but good! I will be wearing this all summer.

UPDATE: Okay I could not find anything better than this. By far the best mineral sunscreen under makeup for brown skin. I deal with the minimal eye irritation later in the day and just make sure I wash my face thoroughly with an oil cleanser and don’t leave it on too long in order to avoid breakouts. —- I have brown skin. I bought the Original color because I didn’t want any added glow. I bought this because it’s a mineral formula and the protection is really high. I’m highly allergic to chemical sunscreen and allergic to a lot of things. The formula is nice. Fairly thin texture and spreads nicely. It does leave a faint white cast even after settling into my skin. Not at all bad though compared to other mineral sunscreens. I wear makeup on top. I tried this with 3 different foundations/tinted makeup. Under MAC face and body makeup, which is a really sheer foundation, the combo felt fine. Under Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin, the combo felt HEAVY and settled into my fine lines throughout the day even after setting with powder and also the make up looked patchy. Doesn’t look like this when I’ve used it without sunscreen. Tried with Chanel VITALUMIÈRE AQUA (what I use regularly) and felt good. Not heavy at all and no issues. I do put the sunscreen around my eyes and find that later in the day it seeps into then resulting in redness and mild irritation. I do find that if I leave it on for 12 hours I start to break out. I can’t purchase again bc of these reasons but you might be fine. Honestly though it’s the best mineral sunscreen I’ve tried so far based on protection, slight white cast, and texture. I have to keep searching but It’s worth trying for yourself.

I've been using the "classic" for about 6 weeks now, and I love it. It feels great on my skin. It's cleared up any scars I've had on my face. It has added so many benefits to my skin, and made it glowy. I love that it's easy to apply, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and doesn't pile. It adds a great glow to your skin, and wears well over my daily moisturizer. As someone who's gone through so much sunscreen, this one is definitely a keeper. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for. Quality

This product really delivers on what it promises. It feels lightweight on the skin and absorbs quickly, making it easy to layer under makeup or a light powder. While it can leave the skin just a touch on the dewy/greasy side, it’s nothing overwhelming and actually gives a healthy finish. I like to give it about a minute to dry before applying anything on top, and it works seamlessly in my routine. A little goes a long way, and I haven’t found myself going through it too quickly. Overall, it’s an effective, dependable product that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

To be honest I love it more than flex! It suits my skin color so well, it gives you a very light coverage, it’s more like your skin but better. I don’t feel it on my skin and it doesn’t break me out. I have combination/oily skin and during the day it feels perfect. Of course safe and quality ingredients, good protection level. Highly recommend.

Way better than most (even Beet Shield) that I have tried. NO CAST. I prefer mineral over chemical and this one worked really great. It feels great on skin. I just wish it came in a larger size as well. This one is pocket-friendly but given how much it gets used, its quite small.
