Irish Turf/Peat fire logs are naturally dried, hand-harvested sods from Cappabane Mountain Bog in East Clare, Ireland. Offering a distinct, authentic Irish aroma, these peat logs burn hotter and longer than the same weight in wood, making them ideal for open fireplaces and outdoor grilling. Each box contains 0.68 cubic feet of seasoned turf, delivering a premium, sustainable fuel source that transforms your fire experience with a touch of Irish tradition.

Love that peat smell
May seem expensive, but it is a lot cheaper then a flight to Ireland. The peat logs burn up easily and the peat smell brings me right back to the Irish country side. Personally I light a duraflame log first, get the fire going and then add one or two of the peat logs to it. Perfect!

Banana not included
My son and I travelled to Ireland this summer and loved the smell of the local pubs burning peat in their hearths. These are dense, and naturally cut and dried. Aromatic when burned, and also hard to start and keep lit by themselves. However these are authentic. The box is 15โ x 11โ x 8โ and contains roughly 7 logs of various sizes , Aprox 11โ x 3โ x 3 โ . So about $10 to $12 a log. I plan to cut into smaller briquettes for smoking meats , and also burn smaller pieces inside on a ceramic plate for aroma as I run my wood burning insert. So this box should last me awhile.

Add something different to the fireplace
Truly authentic Irish turf. Burns very well and gives off a great aroma. Iโve used the pressed turf in the past, but these burn better and have better aroma.

Smells like home....
Love the turf....we usually just put one in the fire when we build a fire, the smell takes me right back home. Some evenings my husband has a fire going by the time I get home from work and when I get out of the car, the smell is in the air - it's just perfect :-)

Don't bother. Buy fire logs or firewood.
Burns poorly. The claimed lovely smell does not exist. Requires a great deal of other wood or fuel of some sort to get started. It is way over priced and over hyped

Authentic Irish Peat
As real as you can get. This turf cut peat is straight out of the bog. Was pleasantly surprised how long this peat lasted in the fireplace. Well worth the expense.

Would but again!
Quality turf pieces, not broken, great customer service. We would start log fire and add a couple turf pieces once the fire was hot and had some good Coals going. Smell amazing... like being back in Ireland.
