Have you ever used regular RainX on you M/C helmet? Why do they make a plastic version, does the regular stuff damage the plastic?

Regular RainX will ruin your plastic. Yes, unfortunately, I tried it. Had to replace the visor on my helmet.

Would this be suitable to use on the waterproof plastic casing for an action camera?

Believe so. It just helps "bead" up the water so it flows off more efficiently. I use it on motorcycle windshields and visor, but the wind helps keep it clear.

Is this safe to use on vinyl windows (isinglass, strataglass)?
