High quality, heavy duty, and sharp!
Heavy duty, sharp, and came in a plastic tube for protection. Worked very well drilling through 8 inches of wood next to a door.

A Boring Piece of Steel!
This is a heavy duty auger bit that was up to the task of drilling a 1" hole through a piece of firewood. I can see using it for mounting lights on 4x4 posts and for drilling holes in stumps to augment their decay. I'm probably going to clean up the cutting edges with a diamond hone to make it cut even easier since one is not well machined (see pics: - 1 star). Be sure to have a fully charged battery in your drill - you don't get a 1" hole that is 18" deep for nothing! I was impressed that the bit didn't 'wander' and that the final hole was straight. I'm glad to have gotten this tool to add to my kit!

Quick holes
Fast borer. This bit is fairly aggressive. I would recommend that you use a powerful drill. It does tend to pour fairly quickly though and the holes seem reasonably decent. See photograph.
