The Arducam ezBOX GS B0634 is a compact monochrome global shutter USB camera optimized for precision high-speed imaging. Supporting frame rates up to 800 FPS at QQVGA resolution, it enables detailed capture of fast motion while maintaining consistent exposure across the frame. With a standard field-of-view lens, integrated onboard ISP, UVC plug-and-play support, and external trigger capability, B0634 is ideal for measurement, inspection, and controlled machine vision applications. Review: This small form factor, monochrome high speed camera works well as a 3D printer monitor with Octoprint's Spaghetti Detective module I've found. The unit is very small, easily mountable and is enclosed in a powder-coated steel frame. White the picture quality isn't superb being QQVGA and all (160x120 resolution), the 800 frames-per-second speed means it screams at real-time monitoring. Meaning when configured properly, you get notified the split second a print problem occurs, minimizing waste and potential printer damage. Review: Got this to try to use for as one of the cameras for a SkyCam project I've been wanting to work on, but that was before I realized I was going to want a camera with a fisheye lens in order to do the project, so that's my bad. This is actually a decent camera, though it's night vision isn't great, but that's to be expected. It's much better quality than any other webcam I've ever tried to use BY FAR, clarity wise, although for some reason, it only produces a black and white image. I'm not sure if that's all it is supposed to do, I didn't exactly do my research on it, but I'll say this much, for a black and white image, it's still amazingly clear quality, I don't know why other computers just do not ever implement a decent camera at all, you'd think we would have figured that out by now but they're always pretty lame. So anyways, if you're using this for a project that doesn't require having a full color image, this camera is excellent, hands down. Like, it honestly takes a better picture than my phone does, even and especially in lower light conditions. But if you're needing something full color, this may not work for you, although I've never installed any particular driver for this, it worked out of the box with some driver built into windows, so maybe that's the issue, I don't know.

Achieving the advertised high frame rates requires the right settings and lighting, but when properly configured this is a very capable little monochrome camera. Hitting close to 800 fps means lowering the resolution and ensuring exposure time and system bandwidth are appropriate, so it is clearly geared toward technical users rather than casual plug and play recording. The global shutter sensor performs well for fast motion capture without distortion, and the image output is clean for a VGA monochrome module. The housing is impressively solid with a sturdy metal enclosure that feels far more rugged than a typical plastic webcam. Overall it is a well built high speed camera that delivers strong performance when used within its intended parameters.
