This PC is a gift for my daughter for her Birthday - Christmas present. I did some research on the processor and the accessories that comes with this PC. Bluetooth, Wireless AC, a decent processor, C-port, etc. I added a Nvidia 1030 2 GB Graphics card (around $80-100) to this computer. I tested it on a few games, and handled those games with ease. This little computer packs quite a punch at a great value. I will recommend this PC for the casual user or the casual gamer (I would recommend adding a gpu and a bigger power supply). Update: 8/16/2019. I purchased this little pc in Nov of 2018. I've upgraded this pc for my daughter into a decent little gaming machine :). Upgraded the PSU to 450, Ram to 16 gb aftermarket, AMD 550 4gb. She's one happy teen now :) she can play most games, and I did a lot of research before purchasing this PC. She's never had a problem with the pc and never crapped out on her. This a great value buy!! :) Update: My daughter had this computer over 6 months now. I've added a bigger graphics card AMD 550 4gb, and a bigger Power suppy 550W 80 Bronze. :D Its not a Overlock monster, but a great beginners gaming pc. :) Still the best investment for 299.99 as a Black Friday Special!!!

Its only been a few days since Ive had it,but its has been working great so far.My last PC was also an Acer and a friend of mine told me id be lucky to get a few years out of it.Well guess what, It lasted 10yrs with Vista and finally would not boot up.Seen this one here and decided to buy it.I put Avast back on this(thanks Avast for moving my subscription over), also went with there VPN service to make my internet surfing a safer experience.Boots up fast and of-course its so much faster then my old PC.They are getting so much easier to set-up then days past.Went thru the set-up quick and easy.It was nice to see Firefox installed on it,since id been using that on the old one.Once it was set-up I tried the internet and boom it was there and ready to surf.I was just going to replace my old PC with a tablet,but my wife has gone thru 2 of them in about 3yrs and I enjoy sitting down and using this PC.I would recommend this to anyone looking for a PC for surfing the web,but not a gaming.Now my daughter is looking to buy the same at tax time.

I was concerned about some reviews that mentioned the fan situation and potential overheating. I run computer simulations and have 4 jobs running on all the cores (all 100% all the time). The output of sensors is Core 0: +61.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) Core 1: +60.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) Core 2: +61.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) Core 3: +60.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) So no problems at all in this regard. Its a pacy machine and is running great. I am not using it for gaming, and can't comment on the graphics card (I don't care), but for the RAM and quad core it was perfect for my needs. It is also super quiet! Its sitting in our bedroom and I can't hear it at all. I have it connected to the tv and it looks good. For other linux users, I installed linux mint 19.1 xfce with no trouble (I just wanted something with relatively low resources that is stable) and everything just works. I imagine other ubuntu-based distros would be cool too.

I purchased this desktop for my mother to use to replace the laptop I got her. For her needs of checking email, facebook, and YouTube, it works great once the following issue was fixed. After 5 minutes or so of Internet use, the WiFi would stop working. I tried resetting the router, manually changing the DNS address, updating WiFi card drivers, etc, but nothing would work. Same thing would happen, WiFi stops working after 5 minutes. Getting an external WiFi antenna solved this issue. She can now surf the web and watch videos without anymore frustrations. Also, the description talks about "immersive sound" with "5.1 surround sound" leading me to think the tower had some built in speaker that manipulated the sound to sound like surround sound. Nope, NO INTERNAL SPEAKERS. I had to order a pair of Creative Pebble Speakers. So between that, the external WiFi antenna, the keyboard, and the mouse, four USB ports are now in use. The tower is quiet, much quieter than the laptop it replaced. The included mouse and keyboard work just fine. For obvious reasons, gaming was not tried, so I can't say anything in regards to how it can handle games. But like I said, once some drawbacks are addressed, it works great for basic functions.

I've trusted AXER for years, but this time their product was defective. I had to call (and pay for) and IT specialist to find out what was wrong with my tower. Turns out that there were two components for my RAM (not sure what it's called) and one of the two was an older type. Result was my computer functioned slowly, very slowly. When he removed the older component, it started working well.

Great desktop. Easy to set up and use. Excellent for daily usage. Great buy

Excellent computer for the price. More than what you need for the normal user.

bought this on Jan 23. On Feb 9th, the wireless card broke. Acer support had me wipe and reinstall Windows twice. then they told me to pack up the unit and send it back to them and they would repair it. they estimated it would take 10 days to fix once they received it and unpacked it, so I'd be without my PC probably for 20 days or so (if you factor in the shipping time). They weren't interested in looking at the event log messages that said that the driver files might be the issue, they just wanted to reinstall Windows then have me send the whole thing back to the factory. How am I supposed to work for 20 days without a PC?? I'll eat the cost of having it repaired locally and I will NEVER buy another Acer device again.

Excelente computadora. Rápida y eficiente para labores básicos. El nuevo core i3 de octava generación lo hace muy similar en rapidez a un core i5 de séptima generación. Sugeriría la incorporación de ssd. Esta computadora no es gamer.

Not the most powerful desktop, but for its price it is reliable and functional. I have owned many Acers and have never been disappointed. My only issue with is machine is that I wish Acer would put more than 2 USB ports in the from face for easy access.

It works for me for. Have owned many Acer computers and laptops, reasonable price.
