Product description Review: Excellent - Works wonders cold weld terminals. Very heavy very powerful Review: Save money and buy a quality manual tool that will perform better. - The tool itself is very heavy, bulky and excessively large due to the hydraulic cylinder, but the overall construction is very poor as compared to similar tools in this price range. The pricing makes this seem to be a bargain, but a closer look shows a lot of short comings. Besides the weight and poor-quality construction, the cylinder will leak terribly when extended to its full length. That could be overcome by gradually increasing the cylinder speed, but the sloppy trigger on this tool does permit that. There is no real trigger control allowing the gradual increase in pressure, but rather the pressure is applied all at once. This can lead to improperly crimped clamps depending on if you’re using a vice or not to secure your harness or tubing. There is no charger indication on the batteries or the charger. When plugged in the charger emits a steady green light, when a depleted batter is installed the charger still has a steady green light, instead of blinking or changing colors while charging. Then after the battery is charged, the light is still steady green. There is no charge status on the batteries, so you don’t know if they’re fully charged, 50% or almost depleted. Speaking of the batteries, I’m not sure what type they are, NiCad are Li-ion, but they are extremely light. I suspect there is only one cell in each. I have not used the tool enough to drain a battery, but my guess, is that you’ll only get a few uses out of one before it needs recharging. Bottom line this a DIY tool and not profession grade. If only used occasionally, it might be worth the cheaper price. After only a few uses, I’ve decided I like my name brand manual tool much better than this cordless one. The manual tool is much easier to use, to set on your work when not using a vice, and has more precise control than a cheaply made power tool.

Great value for a very durable crimper - the price is right.
Very Well Made electric crimper set that comes with Everything you need to do a full day of work every day. The 18 volt power is plenty enough to do crimping of thick gauge tubing and wiring and the second battery ensures you never have to stop to wait for a recharge, instead, you can use one battery while the second charges in the included charger - which is very fast, less than 25 minutes from dead to full. Also, the hard case is perfect for carrying and storing the set and it is always ready to go. Great value for a very durable crimper - the price is right. Also, the dies are the standard sizes most used so you do not have to buy any extras, when you get this, you can go to work right away.
