I fill a 5 gallon bucket about half full of water and then sprinkle oiled sunflower seeds on the surface of the water. I do not deliberately put the seeds or nuts or peanut butter on the flipper part. The creatures seem to smell the seeds and climb the ramp, fall in the water and cant escape and eventually drown. It is not pretty but it works. I had previously used a stiff cardboard ramp but that was too flimsy, It is not pretty but if works, One does need to place the trap in a travelled area. At first, I put it against the house wall with little results, I then pain attention to where the chipmunks ran around and it put it in their path and things happened as indicated in the first line. It is a sturdy product and fits a five gallon bucket that is meant to have a lid on. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't put too much bait (weight) on the end *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 23, 2019* Overall quite pleased, and especially with customer service when I had a minor issue. (Tamara at Customer Service rocks!).Well constructed, easy to clean and set up. Tension is easily adjusted via the adjustment screw that will change the magnetic attraction to where more - or less - pressure (i.e., mouse weight) will be required to trip the "plank". The only caution I can mention is that the plank is finely balanced with no bait in place, so be sure to use only a small amount of bait (peanut butter) at the very end so as not to over-balance and possibly restrict the plank from fully resetting once a mouse has tripped it. If you find that it's not resetting properly after tripping, simple add a small amount of weight at the opposite end (underneath you'll find two recessed areas where a couple of nuts were installed at the factory to serve as weight). You can add weight to those recessed areas if you feel it's needed (tape a couple BB's in place or something similar....then re-set the magnet tension). I researched the type of mice I'm catching and they weigh between 15 to 25 grams, so I set the plank to trip at 15 grams. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Catches so many mice, it's not even funny. *by S***A on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 1, 2020* My fiancee & I bought a duplex and mid winter we started getting frequent visits from those pesky little tenants that just don't pay rent (Our actual tenant/neighbor is great), and they don't know how to use a toilet so there's more than one issue. We bought two of these, one for each unit. Set them up and within 2 days (here's the gross part) we had caught about 14 mice between the two traps. No one likes to walk into their kitchen and see 7 mice dead in a water bucket.. but there we were.. Over the next week we must have gotten the remainder of the family (or maybe they're so clever that they're hiding elsewhere and have learned to use the toilet) because we had 4-5 more each and no more since. All I can say is.. WOW. This thing works. If you're not interested in checking little wooden traps constantly, but you don't mind the idea of having a water bucket of dead mice that you have to figure out how to dispose of (we essentially fed some hungry wildlife in the woods, I'm sure).. and actually getting rid of ALL of them, this is the trap for you.
