This is NOT a plumbing fitting
I don't know what this thing is for, but it's not plumbing. It is very thin, not beveled, and smaller than a real butt weld pipe fitting. See photo - the one on the left is a real 1 1/2" (non-stainless) butt weld fitting, the one on the right is this product. It's shiny - might be good for an art project.
