Review: Awsome Bass for A Small Subwoofer. - Great subwoofer, it exceeded my expectations. At first I installed it inside an Atrend sealed Bbox, which is. 85 cubic feet and within Rockford Fosgate's specifications, it sounded ok since I installed it inside my trunk. However, I wanted more bass using the same sub so I opted for a ported box instead. Thus I purchased a Sound Ordinance box from Crutchfiled. It has 1.4 cubic feet of internal volume the recommended space from Rockford when using ported boxer. This box was the only one with the correct internal volume I could find in the internet. Once I installed it, wired it, and played some music, I immediately noticed the difference. The P2 hits harder and with longer deeper bass notes I can now feel inside my car. My Alpine amp is tuned to the same settings as with the sealed box, but the sub is louder, because power efficiency is better achieved with ported box. So long story short, if your mounting this sub in a sealed trunk like mine separated from the passenger compartment go ported with the recommended internal volume. If you however, drive a wagon like a Scion Xb or something similar, a sealed box will hit hard and you'll feel and hear it. I recently installed a 10 inch P1 in my wife's Xb using my old Atrend Bbox powered by an MB Quart 400 watt rms monoblock and it sounds stupendous. Well I hope this helps and you are able to come a conclusion about your purchase and how to install this great sub based on your application.

**Q: Will these fit in a dual b box for 2002-up Dodge Ram quad cab?**
A: Measure the box, measure the cab, and find out. The dimensions are listed in the product details or on their website.

**Q: If this sub it is 2 ohms 4 coils how you wired it to be a 2 ohoms**
A: So the sub has 2 coils. Each coil is 2 ohm. Wired parallel its a 1 ohm speaker. Wired in a series its a 4 ohm speaker. So if you have 2 subs and wire them in a series to where each sub is @ 4 ohms and if ran on a mono amp you'd be sitting @ 2 ohms.

**Q: What's the frequency range on this bad boy ?**
A: It’ll play down to 29Hz in a vented enclosure. 33-50 is a good range for everyday play.

**Q: Will these fit good for truck boxes? I have 1994 ford f150 single cab truck with typical truck box would be great if i got an answer thanks?**
A: They will fit in truck boxes.

Great subwoofer, it exceeded my expectations. At first I installed it inside an Atrend sealed Bbox, which is. 85 cubic feet and within Rockford Fosgate's specifications, it sounded ok since I installed it inside my trunk. However, I wanted more bass using the same sub so I opted for a ported box instead. Thus I purchased a Sound Ordinance box from Crutchfiled. It has 1.4 cubic feet of internal volume the recommended space from Rockford when using ported boxer. This box was the only one with the correct internal volume I could find in the internet. Once I installed it, wired it, and played some music, I immediately noticed the difference. The P2 hits harder and with longer deeper bass notes I can now feel inside my car. My Alpine amp is tuned to the same settings as with the sealed box, but the sub is louder, because power efficiency is better achieved with ported box. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After 2 years still pounding

I purchased one of these 2 years ago to go with a Memphis 5 channel amp that puts out 400w to the sub channel and mounted the sub in a custom fiberglass enclosure that is right at 1.0 cu ft air space. (which sounds better than the .7 I had) this sub still sounds fantastic! I've been building car audio systems for over 20 years and have installed and listened to just about every subwoofer out there and I have to say that this sub performs with the best of them. It puts out the bass of a high end 12" woofer and would honestly imo out perform two mediocre 12s. Not to mention this sub looks fantastic when installed. I would definitely recommend it.
