Nice amount for felting projects
I was impressed by the huge range of colours you can choose from with this wool roving, and there really is an option for almost any project you can think of. Mine is the "Blue Lotus" shade, and although I feel it is a lovely purple-blue tone, my camera honestly struggled to capture the true colour because of the auto filters, so it looks a bit different in person. To me, it feels more like a deep purple rather than a bright one, but the richness of the shade is still very nice. The wool arrived in a roughly A4-sized box and I was pleased with the generous thickness of the roving. It feels like good quality and is extremely soft to the touch, and because it is 100g (3.53oz) of pure wool, it has exactly the right texture for felting, making it nice value. It pulls apart easily for smaller details, and it would also be great for weaving or other handcrafts where you want a bit of depth. It is a great set for anyone into textile arts, however, you might want to keep in mind that the real-life colour might vary slightly from what you see on a screen. For the price, you get a decent amount of material that is well-finished and easy to work with, and it makes a useful addition to the craft cupboard for whenever inspiration strikes.

Almost a black not a dark green sadly
This yarn is a dark charcoal almost black colour it is not a dark green and I cannot use it for my current project very disappointing. The yarn will be used for something else at a much later time.

fibres are springy and smooth, holding together neatly without breaking
I love the candy-floss-like colour of this felting wool. The turquoise blue is bright and lively, consistent throughout, exactly the kind of shade that breathes life into my felted pieces and draws the eye with a cheerful pop. Working with it is a pleasure. The fibres are springy and smooth, holding together neatly without breaking or creating fluff. There are no scrappy, short strands or stray bits to make felting fiddly, just long, clean fibres that make shaping and sculpting easy and satisfying. The wool carries only the softest, wholesome scent, a gentle hint of its natural origins, with none of the sharpness or artificial perfume that can sometimes be off-putting. Overall, this is a good-quality wool that makes the felting process feel enjoyable and rewarding. It is the kind of material that makes you look forward to each project, and one I will be coming back to again and again. Happy to recommend!
