It works great to hold the chain and enable one to loosen the various nuts needed to remove the primary drive casing as part of belt drive replacement. Review: This is a fantastic tool. I'm a certified mechanic, and have worked on HD professionally. I've seen these things get chewed up after a handful of uses. This thing is tough. I curse a lot for emphasis, and I'm hold back the F word here. But this thing is F'n rad! When I hit that 45° on the compensator torquing it down it barely did anything to this bad boy. Couldn't be happier with it!
