Glue sticks solid-washable-non-toxic-Ref 45552235 40g - Pack of 6

I have used three different brands of stick glue, two because I could not buy the size of Pritt stick I wanted when it was needed. Although all worked, one has an awful fishy small and the other had a rather poor hold and, unless the items to be glued were held under pressure for a minute or two, they soon parted company. I have never had that problem with Pritt. This is the standard type of stick glue although in a larger, 40g, dispenser. There is also a still larger 80g version. This is washable should you get it on your hands or clothing but does need mildly warm water to help dissolve it. Although described as a 'pack', they arrived loose within a padded mailing bag.

These have been around for a long time now and unless the adhesive has cured with age they work fine. But in this case I cannot review the product because although the tracking info says "left in letterbox at 2:16pm on 1st July 2023" the fact is it wasn't. I was at home all day and no Amazon driver came here. Amazon say I am not entitled to a refund because the order was supplied by AbbeyShake. They in turn used Amazon Logistics to deliver. Had they used Royal Mail then there would have been no problem. So in this instance I have paid Amazon £17:80 for nothing and their guarantee is worthless.

It does what it does, and no other sticks (for some reason) come close. These were cheap as anything imports and did the job just as well as more expensive locally sourced glue sticks.

Pritt Sticks do the job well, and better than their rivals. To paraphrase Blackadder, they're stickier than when Sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky bun. Highly recommended. Update 2015: for people interested to know the origins of their products, Pritt Sticks were manufactured in the UK but are now made in Germany.

My order of Pritt Sticks arrived just as described and very quickly, they were well packed to protect them in the post.
